Can divorce the personality from the player and say he’s a fine athlete with a good balance of skill and grit. I think he could play with us but I’m not sure where he’d fit in to our team.
I can see bits of Bernardo, Foden, Silva, and Mahrez in him, even De Bruyne, but I’m still not sure what is unique enough about him to merit buying him when we already have those players.

He’s HG for a start which is a huge bonus that is often overlooked. Arguably the best English player around at the moment.

Really good player, but I feel he’s to similar to Foden. I don’t know where he fits in at City, as I feel we need a fast winger and a striker that bangs in goals. Plus, he’s an absolute bell.

I think he’d play a bit deeper. Maybe in the Bernardo role.

With the emergence of Foden and signs that Bernardo’s returning to form, you have to question if we need a player like Grealish.

I’d pass and spend big on an elite striker. Kane, Haaland or Mbappe would do.

Good point. He’s played well against us often enough and against other top teams to show that he’s no flash in the pan. Quite sure we could get another 25% out of him as well, but still don’t know where he’d fit.

I’d rather someone who’s proven in the premier league, home grown and playing very well. Some of his movement, passing and strength on the ball today was Silva esque

Why waste a foreign spot on Aouar who isn’t PL proven when we can bring in someone who’s HG and does it week in week out in the PL instead?
