Villa (H) Post Match Thread

For me, it's no different than a keeper who throws the ball on the ground to clear it and doesn't realise there's an opponent behind him. Tough. Awareness of where your opponents are is part of the game. The question you'd have to ask to anyone complaining about this is how long should Mings be allowed to control the ball for before it would be acceptable for Rodri to challenge him?
He should do the Hokey Cokey and turn around, pinch his nose twice and shout “coming ready or not” before challenging for the ball.

I am guessing this is a wind up?

A replay of the Grealish/Walker incident that the Ref gave as a throw-in???

You touch the ball and the play is on .
Simple as fuck .
That's what they told me when I was 4... that's how I coached my son's teams when he was 4 on. Rodri could have been offsides 40 meters... Mings had the ball and mishandled the touch... Rodri picked it off of him.
If the play hadn't resulted in a goal Villa fans wouldn't make a peep.

Of course they do. Different shades and different subjects but largely the same paranoia. I know quite a few Leeds fans. They are utterly convinced, like they take it as a given and can’t understand anyone doubting it, that both the FA and the media hate them. Mid ranking premier league teams go crazy that the “big four” or whatever get all the coverage. Championship teams are convinced that they get ignored because of the premier league etc.

Real or imagined communal enemies are part of what makes a football fan tick.
All clubs, apart from United and Liverpool (the commercially valuable ones), are not given much coverage in the media. Actually I think Leeds have been badly treated over the years and until we were bought out by foreign owners Chelsea were the whipping boys. It's the same in Spain with bias towards Barca and especially Real Madrid. It doesn't make it right though.
