Greater Manchester summary:
It was also a very good day for GM - lowest numbers in 2021.
578 cases - down 254 on yesterday so a good chunk of the 424 NW fall, reducing the percentage of GM in the NW from 48% to 44.2%
Some good numbers today as you might expect
Manchester the only one in 3 figures and at 116 one of its lowest in months.
Nobody else was higher than 74.
Almost everywhere down week to week.
Ironically the only one not was Trafford - up from 41 to 44 versus 41 last week. So hardly a disaster.
Indeed it still added to its Pop Score lead on Stockport which, whilst also down week to week, was still a little high at 64 - down just 3 on yesterday.
There were two boroughs below 40 today - Oldham at 37 its lowest in a while.
And top of the tree the borough the Manchester Evening News day before yesterday told us (using week old data) was worst in GM because of a new variant.
Well scoring just 35 it rather contradicted that story today happily.
