I know lots of people that have had the flu worse myself included, some also died, but lets get it right, the Nightingale hospitals came and went, staffing was a major issue but not insurmountable, the main problem was they were set up for COVID only so were not usable, right thought this pandemic the Government has lied with its `Stop and Prevent ` message, it could do neither, the figures given out Death aside are worthless blabber, the four people i know who have died of COVID, one was a war veteran who had the Flu jab and never regained his health the other three had cancer they had operations/therapy cancelled or put back as they were not deemed fit enough, anyone who takes this drug should need it, the others are too stupid to understand their own history.

Makes you wonder why pretty much every government across the planet - not just ours - has treated this as a real threat then. Perhaps we should’ve adopted the “don’t give a fuck” attitude of the Brazilian government eh? Only the 3400 or so Covid deaths there yesterday, and ICU capacity at or near 100% capacity across the whole country.

My goodness, why did you stop there? why did you not mention how silly Europe was in suspending the jab, the Government propaganda and censorship group have given you a good enough lead?, as for Brazil one of the richest Countries on the planet, but with some of the worst ghetto`s just how do you think this temporary blocker would actually work? Brazil like an awful lot of other countries who will not pay up, will weather the storm just like all the other Viruses that have no cure.

This number has fallen every day for several weeks now.

North West also back in second lowest in the England regions and other three home nations and in the sub 100 white zone (23 - 97 cases per million)

Only South East lower.

The average for flu deaths each year is 11k. Last year was lower as all sensible people were wearing masks when in potentially hazardous situations so less caught it. What was your point again?

Whatever, my point is precautions have been taken and deaths from flu are lower so not a factor in Covid deaths data.

It's a great piece of journalism. Could equally have focused on Thanet, Gillingham or Gravesend. Why don't we get this quality of reporting on the BBC ?

And don't patronise with I value all opinions when you clearly don't. I was asking what point you were trying to make in your post? You must consider the question mark as being crucial in understanding what was said.

I think it was the CEO of Novavax I heard interviewed on 5 Live and a big part of them working with the U.K. was trust from dealing with Kate Bingham before, as well as protection indemnity. Maybe the EU buyers don’t have that mutual trust with the vaccine suppliers? That is just a guess btw.

The EU has certainly blown trust out out if the window. Johnson & Johnson are now having problems with the EU as well.
