It's incredible to me, reading comments on here/red cafe/reddit/twitter, listening to the radio reaction etc. seeing how many people have no idea that this is a Champions League replacement and not a league replacement.

I predict that whatever is announced tonight will not be that different to whatever UEFA is announcing tomorrow as a revised CL format.

Can’t help feeling if this was 12 months ago I’d be sticking two fingers up to Uefa & the hateful 8/9 and hoping we go all in

They have to leave the Prem to join it ...

They said we should remain banned from the CL while appealing. UEFA were the ones that banned us. Until CAS overturned the ruling we were legitimately banned - it wasn't that unreasonable on the part of those clubs to think we should stay banned to be honest in my opinion.
Fuck off,

people are reacting because the narrative has been put out that to execute it the teams will have to remove themselves from the domestic league.

No they don't.

The Prem is threatening them with expulsion because it's the only thing they can think of to try and stop it.

But no one above the age of 12 actually thinks the Premier League is going to expel the top 6 do they? Conversely no one thinks the top 6 will go ahead with it if the threats are carried through, do they?

These are just threats and posturing.

The super league is going to run alongside league football and replace the CL, or it's not going to happen.

Has there been any confirmation of the clubs involved or who agreed with this? Early reports didnt include us but later on appears we decided to join?

I can kind of understand why the club might feel it has to join in if this is the "inevitable future" of football but still would be disappointed that we would agree to go along with the cunts who have been against us from the start.

Either way I hope this all fails as it would completely remove my already reduced interest in football. I wouldnt be surprised if like the league proposals they attempted recently this is just another scare tactic from the big clubs to try get their way with uefa / fifa and get more money somehow.

If City would distance themselves from this, that would make me proud, but they won’t!

it could be that manchester city are the leaders in all of this ? knowing the shit we have with uefa city
thinking it would be wise to lead the group of 6 and have some of our people on the new board of the super league

Participation means a ban in your domestic league, so it is effectively a replacement.

That is very true, this is a war with euro competition, but I guess sanctions and posturing begin to be thrown around, every move a detriment to the games integrity (ha! What's left). It will not stay this way though.

Talk about rock and a hard place, stick with the uefa crew in an attempt to stick up for a crooked national League that epitomises monetising football, or go with the new level of sterilising the game and corralling capital and devaluing the fan even more.

Great news for our local non league clubs, you can add one to Bridge Celtics attendances next season. Looking forward to standing at the Bower Club with a Guinness watching the game, and not having to purchase 30000 “loyalty” points (lol) to get to away games.
Also not being that arsed if someone who only gets paid £100 a game can’t dribble, can’t hit a barn door, can’t tackle, can’t head a ball, can’t beat a goalie in a 1 on 1 etc etc etc
Did sterling move to Bridge Celtic? ;)

Fuck off, it was self serving shite in the hope that it gave them an extra chance of getting into Europe. Since CAS found in our favour we would have missed out on a season in Europe and at least £50million and you think that's reasonable?

If we had the death penalty would you be happy for the sentence to be carried out on someone while waiting for the appeal?

It's a separate competition, thats in direct competition to the CL.
