I still ask myself why they joined. The other clubs have very big debts - you can see that the owners or the banks played a very big role in that. But why City? What are the owners of City interested more? Recognition in Europe or Worldwide? The ESL is more focused on grabbing money from the international fans - not about recognition and public relations in Europe.

UEFA is a shitshow - not because of the idea of it but it the organisation that sucks. The biggest leagues and crowds do not have the influence they should have - one vote per country. So you always have the discrepancy between the countries/players/league that are important for the economical sides and pleasing the smaller countries because of their voting power.

But clubs did not leave because of big bad UEFA but because they got offered big money from banks if they join this movement.
FOMO

So you’d rather go back to UEFA with begging hands to be bummed again at some point than move forward into another idea that we could benefit from?
Obviously it needs tweaking with regards competition and fairness for all but fuck me id rather go back too league 2 than pander too anything UEFA wants.
Yes, I’m one of the 94% of real legacy football fans that can see further than the end of my nose.

Now I don’t know you but I’d bet that you’re under 25 and/or not from Manchester or the North West.

When it comes to billions of pounds being on the line, they ought to be going over the contracts with a fine tooth comb every time they do something that might possibly get you sued big time.
What I have experienced in big business, deciders figure out ALL options in a scenario analysis before they make a decision and once they did, they stick to it.
It's in the blood of deciders.

General sports washing and soft power.
Well that, but also to enhance his brand and make money. Surely we're all not naive enough too recognize that?

This isn't directed at you but in general thread is becoming quite toxic. Nobody (well 95%) supports this idea but we're all blues. Too many people taking their anger out wherever and on whoever, too many people living in glass houses throwing stones. Myself included probably.

So clubs in, owners out?

At the minute, I'm sure many Blues would take the Sheikh selling off and the club heading for obscurity over this Super League bullshit.

Alternatively they mean the Glazers and Henry, greedy cunts to a man, who organised and coerced the whole thing to line their own pockets.
