I was being optimistic!

There will plenty of games for everyone, the Euros will take a lot out of teams.

Grealish coming in also legislates for Mahrez going to Afcon in late December for at least five weeks.

Half joking but Villa are seeing Cantwell as suitable replacement and he has shown glimpses whilst playing against us for Norwich that he is capable. A cheaper option and it might give us a better chance in signing Haaland. Or even better than that is stick to what we have got and still sign Haaland (or suitable alternative) without trying to cut corners.

doesnt surprise me at all cause he kinda plays a similar brand of football, with less flair but he's also fouled a lot due to his ability to hold and run with the ball

edit- i dont love this move for city, think they could get someone better suited for their style for cheaper. someone like aouar or camavinga.

Would be the perfect signing for city. Young, strong, wins free kicks, athletic, English. He could be our engine in midfield for 5 seasons.

Seems a Pep player. Not that amazing technically on the face of it, but it looks like he has a highly effective brain. The thing that I noticed was the quality of the chances he made for team mates, it's thought as much as skill. He's also supposedly a real expert user of his body to shield the ball in difficult situations. Pep will lap it up - there's a bit of Gundo's midfield tactical skill in there, and a bit of Foden's English direct playmaker thing. This seems exactly what we need - Phil is turning out to be such an important goal threat for us that he is not likely to be available for the midfield playmaker role we initially seemed to have him pegged for.

And that leaves us short. I had a quick think about who we can reasonably play at AM this weekend. Bernie KDB and Ilkay, two very demanding games in a few days, more to come - and at least one of them will have to play this weekend.

So, yeah.

Make it so.
 
Unless we are planning moving Mahrez on ( I doubt that) then I don't see a point in bringing him in
 
Would be a brilliant signing I think.
Perfect player for our possession game, wont hide in tough moments, good character for the dressing room, prime age to take over as a leader in 2/3 years, english, asking to be given the chance to meet his potential, seemingly keen to learn, outstanding contributions in a poor team who have fallen away since he went injured, already earned his merit with the media, loves KDB, seemingly wants the move, endless pros and dont see the cons.
