The word “offering” suggests to me it’s an option for fans who qualify for tickets but haven’t organised their own trip. Or so I’m telling myself.Really don't like the wording of that from an independent traveller perspective.
It's the exact same wording as last week. 'Offering a day trip package'.Really don't like the wording of that from an independent traveller perspective.
I didn’t read it like that at all. What they said about organized trips is fine and to be expected. The fact they didn’t use words ‘only’ and ‘bubble’ leaves me thinking positively.Really don't like the wording of that from an independent traveller
I’m not blaming City. It’s UEFAMy point being, its not just the CL they are dealing with, they're still sorting tickets for Sunday coming when we are presented with the PL title, so simply can't focus on the one event.
It's not as simple as a normal ticket issue in normal times, both games are exceptional circumstances, priority today is likely still on Sunday's game, whilst still negotiating with Portugal/UEFA/Portuguese Health department/Portuguese Police, on issue and distribution of tickets, and the logistics of getting people in and out of the stadium safely and quickly.
Remembering that only 7 days ago, all this was meant to happen in another City at the other side of Europe, that had all the preparations in place.
Really hope you're right JayI didn’t read it like that at all. What they said about organized trips is fine and to be expected. The fact they didn’t use words ‘only’ and ‘bubble’ leaves me thinking positively.
Nah"The Club will be offering qualifying supporters an official day trip travel package from Manchester to Porto."
Sounds to me like that's the only option - day trip with the club or nothing.
That's how I read it too.I didn’t read it like that at all. What they said about organized trips is fine and to be expected. The fact they didn’t use words ‘only’ and ‘bubble’ leaves me thinking positively.
It's been terribly written if that's not what they mean.
It’s how we want to read :)That's how I read it too.
Agree. I just think they are providing a level of comfort to those who haven’t yet booked flights (me). That's how I read it too.
Not really, they always offer qualifying supporters a package to away Euro trips. They’d have had to announce if it was the only option, which they clearly didn’t.It's been terribly written if that's not what they mean!
Hopefully just some of the finer details. Might be things like independent travellers are allowed to attend but may be on condition of collecting our tickets in Porto and showing photo ID.Discussions with UEFA about what?
