He wasn't our best player for sure, but I thought he did a lot of good things today.

The openness of the game suited him, that’s when he can show off his off the ball movement which, to be fair to him, is genuinely brilliant.

Totally agree.
Raheem has given us so many great moments and yes he’s going through a tough time.
Be good if we could all stand by him in the hope he returns to form and not dismiss him.

He now seems to have developed this unerring ability to always pick the wrong option with his final touch, whether a pass or a hesitancy to shoot.

There is also literally no confidence he’s going to score when put through on goal.

I really hope he gets it back next year but I think it’ll be tough.

Got into some great positions but never looks like converting these days.

Hasnt done enough to start the final , has had a few chances to impress recently and has failed , it will be a harsh lesson for him missing such a big game and hopefully it spurs him on to getting back to his best next season

I’m not his biggest fan.
However his absolute tenacity and determination despite a sustained period of piss poor performances is admirable and the fact that the club seem to be about to offer him a new contract for me is enough to end the debate. Even when in a run of poor form the team he has regularly played for won the league, league cup and might win the chumps. He’s already a great player.

Always supported the lad but by fuck he`s been so frustrating this season.

Spot on. In the first half particularly he offered nothing. We all want him to play well and take on fullbacks, play the killer ball etc. but it's just not there. I hope he can turn things around but I can fully understand why he is no longer in the team every week.

Not good enough to be anywhere near the final team in his present state as he offers absolutely nothing going forward because everytine he runs at a defence he always hits the first man and very rarely gets by . Putting sterling in that final team weakens us immensely . .

Not at the moment, but over the past four or five years I doubted there's a player that has scored more match winners.

yes and knowing raheem he would miss kick it in, and then finally get some much needed love that he deserves, people are far to easy to jump on him, on his day he is more than capable to be the match winner.

Some nice link up play in the middle of the park I thought, but the end product was disappointing yet again. He’s like a golfer with the yips. Fatal hesitation followed by giving the ball away.....
