I have had one vaccine then a bad bout of Covid and am due my second vaccine but honestly shit scared of having it as I still have no taste still and still weak as fuck compared to what I was pre Covid. Does it matter if I leave it a couple more months? How long will my current immunity last?

The media literally have bodies on their hands with the way they stoked fears about the AZ jab. The government played into their hands when they stopped offering it to the under 40s. Fucking disgusting.

Surely there's a huge argument for drop in centers advertised as AZ only so for anyone who's really not wanting that miniscule blood clot risk can wait for MRNA and those (like me) who's just desperate to get vaccinated as quickly as possible can go?

Would speed up the entire process, if the risk is documented then I feel its only right that people still have the chance to take that (very small) risk balanced against catching Covid while they wait.

EXACTLY. I’ve said for ages they need to just open up the AZ jab to all ages, for anyone who wants it. Absolutely outrageous that they’re not doing this.

Haven’t a few posted that they got over the lingering after effects of covid when they have had their vaccine?

Correct. I know a hell of a lot of people who were eligible for their jabs weeks ago that are holding out for Pfizer. Must be in the hundreds of thousands.

Best one I've heard is a 20 a day piss head, kebab eating fat ****, tell me no way he's having it. Don't know what's in it do you?

Seriously though, it's not a, question that I think can be answered on here as I don't think your doctor can answer it. There is no data about how long antibodies last for as there hasn't been sufficient time from the start of Covid, never mind vaccinations.

FWIW, I'd delay the second shot if I had your experience.

fair enough just sensitive to it as I was in a mess with it. It’s been about 5/6 weeks and I am upto about 7/10. Had first jab 3 months plus ago now but the thought of putting that in my system again when I am still weak as piss! No thanks. Doctor was useless and just said if it has been 28 days after testing positive have it. Easy for him to say. I was told in a chemist yesterday that I am unlikely to catch it again for at least 6 months.

There are so few reports of people getting it a second time you'd have to assume it's highly unlikely that you would get it again even if you hadn't had your first vaccination.

AIUI a dose of Covid is similar to a dose of vaccine.

So you've effectively had two doses from an immunity perspective.

But if I were you I'd deffo follow doc's advice; the more protection the better.

People who have already had confirmed covid-19 might only need a single dose of a mRNA vaccine, two small studies have indicated.
