If only there was a vaccine that cured basic stupidity.
Would take a long time to give it to all those affected.

Eh? Its the best news I've heard over the past year. Covid cases are starting to ramp up yet hospitalisations are decreasing ie the vaccinations work. Beautiful stuff. All of the current hospitalisations haven't had a jab. News just doesn't get better than this in my opinion. I think the problem is the media are hooked on negative press and not actually reporting the proper facts. What a depressing couple of days news wise
Just as we've got some freedom looks like we're heading for a 3rd wave.
How are you feeling now Worsley ? Have you got fully back into your job of making Manchester the greatest city on earth ?
Take care.

Whilst I think that the Scottish Government's instincts generally over the pandemic have been slightly better than England's, I do wonder whether they have been a bit slow to expand vaccination to the younger age groups. I don't, of course, know whether this could be down to a shortage of non-AZ vaccine. On 10 Dec Scotland had 50 deaths and 933 cases - v 2 deaths and 992 cases today. Positivity was 4.7% v 3.9% today.
There were 984 in hospital v 116 now and 52 on ventilators v 8 now.
Sorry to hear you're still a bit rum mate.cheers pal. Yes I am very busy. Some very exciting stuff coming off at the moment and working on some huge stuff that will honestly change the skyline massively. Even more so than Deansgate. And it will happen.
has taken me weeks to build my strength back up though. Porto was much needed change of scenery and quality time with one of my kids.
going to be an intense summer for me.
The proper facts are that mutations like L452R in the Indian variant are related to the following escape antibody reactions: mAb bamlanivimab, mAb class2, mAb class2/3, mAb COV2-2096, mAb P2B-2F6, mAb regdanvimab, mAb S2D32, mAb S2H70, mAb S2N12, mAb S2N22, mAb S2X30, mAb S2X305, mAb S2X58, mAb S2X608, mAb S2X609, mAb S2X619, mAb SARS2-01, mAb SARS2-32, mAb X593.Eh? What are your symptoms?
I'm still having them nigh on 4-5 months after having COVID19. Shortness of breath and the heart rapidly pacing if I try and run (sporadic though - I did a warm treadmill 5k 2 weeks ago and was fine...played light tennis with the kids on Monday and had to abruptly stop when may heart started rapidly pacing.
Know many cases like this - a distant relative is on blood thinners because of it.
I get the strong impression that the UK is short of current vaccine supply. If we had vaccine supplies now, we'd have been vaccinating like crazy but we aren't. France, Italy, Germany, Greece are all vaccinating faster than the UK at the moment (per capita).Whilst I think that the Scottish Government's instincts generally over the pandemic have been slightly better than England's, I do wonder whether they have been a bit slow to expand vaccination to the younger age groups. The difference in the Scottish and Welsh figures would suggest that Wales got that part right.
My son moved down to Southern England at the start of the first lockdown to be with his girlfriend. He was fortunate to find a good job that matched his talents as a chef. In fact he works for a company that supplies fine dining for private planes (and particularly when the planes weren't flying, to people's homes) and he was responsible for the meals on the Chelsea team's flights to and from Porto. He registered with a GP practice in Surrey and got his first vaccination about 3 weeks ago. He is obviously still on the system with NHS Scotland as a couple of days ago he received an invitation from them for his first vaccination - so Scotland would look to be about about a month behind England for the under 40s. Incidentally, I phoned to explain to NHS Scotland that he had moved and spent 30 minutes in a queue for a 2 minute 'phone call. I could probable have cancelled on line but I wanted to check that cancelling his appointment in Scotland wouldn't affect him getting an invitation for a second jag in England.
Someone on here described it as feeling very old and it rings so true.I still can’t taste a thing mate and I am beyond shattered still and breathless. My fitness has been crap for years but I really struggled In the heat in Porto like a bloody old man. Have eaten like a king for the last month. Steaks, Chicken and more veg than I have ever had. Tonnes of vitamins etc but I just can’t shake off the last bit of it. Hard to put my finger on but just lingering.
I had the Moderna vaccine mid April, over 50 so should be having my second anytime. Tried cancelling and rebooking for an earlier date, but nothing available before the end of June. Feels to me like Moderna supplies aren't there?I get the strong impression that the UK is short of current vaccine supply. If we had vaccine supplies now, we'd have been vaccinating like crazy but we aren't. France, Italy, Germany, Greece are all vaccinating faster than the UK at the moment (per capita).
Not the case in Wales, smaller country of course, but been a great success to date. Now vaccinating over 18’s.I get the strong impression that the UK is short of current vaccine supply. Yes, and variable in England. My 21 year old lad here in Sheffield got called for a jab last week by local GP practice, and I've heard similar stories elsewhere. Not the case in Wales, smaller country of course, but been a great success to date. Now vaccinating over 18’s.
I refer to the current rate of vaccination. We have a new variant surging out of hotpots which is spreading through the unvaccinated age-groups. The 2nd vaccine rate is flat and the 1st vaccine rate is going down if anything. Not the case in Wales, smaller country of course, but been a great success to date. Now vaccinating over 18’s.
Don't understand this. Last report we jabbed over 500,000 on June 3.I get the strong impression that the UK is short of current vaccine supply. If we had vaccine supplies now, we'd have been vaccinating like crazy but we aren't. France, Italy, Germany, Greece are all vaccinating faster than the UK at the moment (per capita).
They seem to have contained largely speculation and discussion on the origin of the virus rather than hard evidence. What does everyone make of these Fauci emails that have been released? Surprised they haven’t been discussed on here. Potential cover up regarding a lab creating the virus and evidence from other countries that Hydroxychloroquine is effective yet he chose to say it wasn’t are 2 of the it’s people are talking about. All seems very dodgy.
