Seasoncard - 2021/22

I just made a discovery on the payment page. I was trying to set up a direct debit and couldnt get it to work. At about the 6th attempt I saw a little box next to the place where you put the sort code. I clicked that an a new page opened and my payment was completed in about 5 seconds. I know I’m getting old but does it have to be so complicated. Anyway, I am now renewed and enrolled in the cup schemes. Woo Hoo !

Read that if you defer you have to call the club to advise them that is your intention

ONE SEASON DEFERMENT

Following consultation with City Matters, the Club will be offering an option for supporters to take a one season deferment on their Seasoncard for the 2021/22 season.

Supporters who are unable to attend for the 2021/22 season can defer their Seasoncard until the 2022/23 season.

If this is something you are interested in doing, please contact us on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (Option 6) to speak to a member of the team.

Requests to defer must be submitted to the Club no later than 8pm Wednesday 16th June.

Please note, should you choose to defer, your seat from the 2019/20 season cannot be guaranteed for the 2022/23 season
Thanks for the helpful info.

What fun, in the queue, out the queue, queue number rejected, you are in, you are out, you are back in the queue, enter credit card details, and out you go again, payment accepted now collect your ticket with 6 proofs of id from a portacabin in beirut.

MMMM, I've just 'boasted' on FB that I've renewed and 2 of my friends, both SC holders have said they didn't know anything about renewals.
@Prestwich_Blue maybe this is something to mention in your CM meeting or feedback or whatever? That people need to know it's time to renew?
It might come as a shock to City, that not everyone uses their website regularly, it's been shite since WIX took it over.

I choose the 1st debit option, does anyone know when the first lot comes out? Used to be DD before but its not give them option to automatically renew.

You get posts like this on gaming forums where people show how they've cracked a puzzle to get to the next stage.

Says it all really.

Did you do the hokey cokey and turn around?

Will never ever understand why so many scramble to renew the instant it goes live, spending ages in queues or on the phone in doing so when you can simply wait a few days which makes literally zero difference and do it within a minute or two with no hassle. Same thing happens every year.
I forget things if I don't do them straight away and it makes me uneasy for some reason as my list of 'things to do' increases.

City should offer ST who choose to defer to retain their seats for 22/23.

Those deferred seats can be added to usual Value Gold [as x1 year ST]
to increase Value Gold numbers. Any unsold can then be sold as either
Game by Game or bundled eg Xmas/NewYear/Season End Run In etc

This would give any season ticketholder with either Covid secure &/or
short term financial issues an option to maintain their current ST status.

Deferment option as presently presented is a negative option & following
the ESL debacle the club should revise this if they genuinely believe Fans
and Fans involvement via City Matters actually means anything to them.

@Prestwich_Blue Colin this was posted on FB by one of your City Matters colleagues.

The Club have just posted details of season card renewals… Myself and colleagues on the City Matters committee pushed very hard for a scheme where fans could defer their season ticket for one season. This was to help anybody who might have lost their job or income during the pandemic and needed a breather. A key element of what we agreed was that that a fan could get their old season ticket back in the same seat next August.
City have reneged on this and are now saying your old seat cannot be guaranteed, I am incandescent! Our committee are urgently trying to contact the club to change this. I will keep you all posted.
I'm not great at Twitter but if you could all bombard City with your opinion on this matter I would be really grateful. Is it best that we all do it at the same time for maximum impact? Advice please

Is this the case and do you think it is likely they may change their mind? My friend was all for deferring but even though he doesn't want to go right now feels like he will have to renew to retain his seat.

Do we know what the options are if we can’t attend games due to covid ? Ie restrictions at games etc

old man doesn’t want to pay & not be allowed to go. I guess it’s a full refund etc. I just can’t see anything

Just renewed. Thought about deferring but didn't want to lose my seat. Otherwise the process was pretty straightforward for me without any problems.

I was on the direct debit payment system for my season card in 2019/20 and don't want to relocate. Is it correct that I don't have to do anything and my card will automatically be renewed.

I couldn't see anything, they are assuming 100% attendance.'

Better going on the 10 months DD if you don't want to pay now, I am assuming credits on a pro-rata match by match basis for games that can't be attended due to lack of capacity, as they are already set up for that through the ticket exchange.
