Seasoncard - 2021/22

I've not followed this for a few days but there seems to be an online chance to cancel or defer seasoncards.

But for relocation, it says Step 1: Login to your account and choose 'Season Tickets' but the "screenshot" bears no relation to what I can see, i.e. no box for "season tickets" to choose.
 
Can’t believe there are no seats to relocate to in 202 or 204. Most weeks there are dozens of empty seats in there. Can people really afford to fork out £950 for a seat they only use a few times a season ?
 
Just popped on for a browse and I can relocate my lads South Level 3 seat to another seat in South Level 3 no problem, they couldn't even sort the times of this shit out correctly
 
Just relocated from Level 3 south stand to south level 2... 3 seat left if anyone else would like to move. 216 section
 
It's so frustrating. As I've said before, I work in the Digital Product Design field and we wouldn't get away with this.

There are well established techniques for ensuring you optimise your users' experiences and it doesn't seem like City have used any of these.
It’s incredible to me that an organisation that is absolutely first class in all respects on the footballing front is so fourth class when it comes to customer facing activities. The website is terrible. The ticketing service is a complete shambles. The wait times are on the telephone lines are unacceptable (although once you get through the service is very good). I wasnt at the game but I understand the e-ticket admission at the Everton game was a complete mess.

We are supporters but we are also customers. The Club needs to take Customer Service seriously. As you said they wouldn’t get away with it in any other business.
 
Cannot believe that there's no vacant seats in level two, every season a number of foc like myself die , I'm 78 and had 5 weeks in hospital since March, City are being dishonest about relocation I have a seat in 204 row N was looking to move down 6 rows to avoid coming down the stairs . No chance feel let down as I've had no problem relocating in the passed .
 
Although I would prefer to stay in the Colin Bell stand I did find a seat in the East Stand 106 which looked ok. I selected it and clicked ok - error message with an explanation that was impossible to understand. I give up !

As others have said, the Club are either not releasing Tier 2 seats that have been deferred or they are holding them back to sell to football tourists on a match by match basis. If latter, which is what I suspect, it’s a cynical disregard for real supporters.

Deferred seats in all parts of the ground can’t be offered as seasoncards as they have to be available for the deferrers next year.

Next year will be the season to relocate probably as a fair few of those will decide not to renew, although I do suspect not all seats get released. I used to have 3 seats together but cancelled one a few years back leaving a single seat. That seat never re-sold and was often empty or filled with a random fan every now and then or I picked it up for odd matches. It never appeared as available to move to in previous seasons neither and doesn't today. Could have gone Value Gold I expect.

That's the problem with season ticketing in seated areas. Corporates were buying up season cards in doubles and blocks from day one and just renew every season. They give them to friends/clients etc. Sometimes they go, most games they don't, but they don't put them on the ticket exchange. You know exactly which games they will be used...
The sooner the club deals with unrealistically low usage and blocks the practice, the better.
One guaranteed solution is to change season cards to 'priority booking' cards, requiring holders to buy tickets for their existing seats on a match by match basis at a reduced rate. If they don't buy their ticket within seven days of the game, the seat goes on open sale at full rate.
Involves a bit more effort on the part of regular attendees, but not really much more than the old 'pay on the gate' system.

Low usage card holders (say less than 10 games per season) would simply lose the right to a specific seat, or be reallocated to row ZZ of SS3....
 
Well after being on hold for 8 minutes 30 secs I was cut off. The email I was sent by the club re deferment said I could reply directly to the email, except that doesnt work !

I have one question, thats all, come on City.

Finally managed to move, 1 hr 45 on hold then a further 40 mins to move 4 seats, allegedly he could only do one at a time and didn't appear to be a regular staff member but someone they had drafted in as had little training or knowledge. Ran the risk of the other seats being taken whilst he plodded through one at a time but luckily this didn't happen.
Finished up with Seats a few rows further back than what I wanted but still not bad seats and a lot cheaper than what we were paying.
The guy has managed to reduce all 4 of us down to gold and deleted all our cup schemes despite assuring me they were all sorted when I verbally confirmed the order still that's a battle to resolve for another day.
Not a great experience but got there in the end.

You make some good points. Can I nominate you to run the ticket office please ;-).

I’d be prepared to use it as a priority booking card but many people wouldn’t and even those who bought into the idea would find themselves at the mercy of our useless supporter services team.

The bottom line is that the club couldn’t really give a fuck if there are empty seats all over the place for Palace or Soton at home, those games won’t feature in corporate promotion videos.
 
I was all set at 8.55 to move from row S to row M with 3 together. 9 o'clock comes and some twat took the middle seat of the block of 3!! There's barely anything left for than a 2 other than the back few rows of the East Stand.

Was that in block 305 by chance? I had my eye on the same three seats if so but it wasn't me who took them the computer said no to me
