Vaccine passports to enter the ground?

I work with a lot of Nigerians who have mentioned the need to be vaccinated to travel to Africa and a lot of them have said something about how these vaccinations have been around for a while now and so they trust them. But their reason for not having this one is that it is very new, and how can their mind be put at ease that this one that's been around for a year is safe, based on what?

I'm not a scientist so I can't answer that. But they aren't refusing based on the above. It's fear and probably having too much information and not knowing who to trust when often the sources saying this is safe, like msm, have a track record of lying or saying whatever it is that benefits who pays their wage.

I'm still undecided, like I said, but I disagree with this kind of attitude towards anyone who isn't vaccinated then using this as the stick to beat them away from the ground.
I tend to look at it the other way round. No one is beating anyone with a stick and keeping them out of the ground.

There’s an ongoing pandemic at the moment, with a vaccine available that significantly reduces the risk of you contracting and spreading the virus. It currently isn’t compulsory to be vaccinated.

If you choose not to be vaccinated, then that comes with consequences and limits your access to crowded entertainment in an attempt to stop the virus from spreading again.

The ball is in the court of the undecided/anti vax person. Get the jab and watch some football. Don’t and watch it on TV/do a LFT for each game.

Its trial and error and I think as someone said previously it is a case of ticking boxes.
Neighbour just come back from Spain and they all boarded and left the plane orderly in row numbers and were then packed face to face onto two small buses to the terminal.
Same scenario on concourse/toilets etc at the game.
Metrolink will be a hoot.

100%, not vaccinated = no admittance.

The thought of going to the toilets and having to stand face to face is making me wish I'd deferred tbh.

There’s an obsession over every person having it but currently 46m have had first jab out of an adult population of around 52m. Out of that remaining 11-12% that haven’t yet there’s probably 1-2m “legitimately” not having it and lots still to book or booked in. It seems a very small number that won’t have it and i can’t see how it matters.
Once again you show you have learnt nothing about covid in eighteen months

If people don't want the vaccine then that's their choice. Just as it's a venues choice to not let people in who haven't had it.

I've had both so I don't have any dilemma. I've done my bit to get my life moving forward

Exactly. Pointless.
Let’s all distance in the queue to file into the ground where we’re bunched together anyway.
Like one way systems in shops that forced people to avoid empty aisles. People that make these rules are thick

I sincerely hope you aren’t a Health and Safety Officer.

Funny.
Do you think forcing people to walk up and down certain aisles in the supermarket works versus the alternative of allowing the human brain to assess and go the “wrong way” down an empty aisle instead?

do you really think it makes sense to queue people up real slow outside the etihad two metres apart (for show/theatre) to let them in the ground where they are then crushed together anyway?

The vaccinated are accounting for a majority of hospitalisations - 60% double jabbed and likely a further 20% single dosed, as of last week - and that’s at the peak of summer; exclusively allowing the trialists in to the stadium based on nothing beyond a their vaccine status is incredibly naive, especially if/when those figures are mirrored and accentuated in the winter flu season.

Football grounds are probably going to be locked down again anyway by November, so all this propaganda is simply to entice the reluctant into getting it.

Thought it was 40% double jabbed and if you do the maths and understood it you’d realise that’s a good figure. So no they probably won’t be locked down again.

Any available social distancing can only help restrict the spread of the virus, so yes. I’d advocate not crushing yourself on the concourses too.

40% not 60% as was reported, another cock up from Boris &Co

I doubt the club would want to lose all that money.

I also doubt they would introduce stricter measures than required by law also.

But feel free to make things up
Tottenham to run the trial Sky news

Statistically considering the ratio it’s not especially alarming at this point, but what is concerning are the demographics of new cases; younger people are coming down with it substantially more this year than last, in correlation with the vaccine being accessible to them.

Then you’ve also got the forecasted flu deaths, which the Government is already suggesting will be 60,000, rather than the 10,000 pre-covid annual average. Virologists have warned that the injected, never-approved beyond this emergency authorised mRNA therapy could override the innate immune system, leaving recipients unable to properly cope with generic colds and flu.

At this point, it’s impossible to conclusively say what will happen - nobody knows, because there is no long term data to observe on either Covid or the implications of the trial drug.

Of course younger people are getting it, no lockdown young people mixing most have only had one jab the number getting it will fall, it’s not a trial drug, alarmist nonsense.
