He's currently on 160k a week at Villa. So if he signed a 5 year deal with us on his current wages, that would total 41.6 million.

Truth is, with the inevitable pay rise we'll be giving him, his wages will account for well over 50m over the length of his contract.

Do you really believe we're paying a smaller transfer fee than Arsenal just did for Ben White?

The fee is 100m. The structure of that, any add-ons, payments in kind, we don't know. But that is the transfer fee.

Just stop the minimum fee it can be is 80m and I doubt he gets a 5 year contract worth 20million
 
100M is a staggering sum of money. Mental.

Would love us to sign Grealish but the money is hard to get my head around. Surely someone like Chiesa would be better and cheaper?

Grealish is an exceptional footballer, who has stood out for Villa and stood out for England (when Southgate was gracious enough to play him). I have no doubt he will stand out for City, in fact it wouldn't surprise me at all if the transition to this new team is seamless and it looks like he's played in the team for a couple of seasons. Can't wait.
