We were supposed to be after both though, I doubt one would halt the other's operation. City delaying it themselves is weirder and less believable than Grealish himself being double minded

My take is that we’ve offered the required fee, whilst Villa have dragged heels negotiating about payment structure until Jack gets back to training so they can try and get in his ear to convince him to stay, and it'll probably have been us who put a timeframe on it.

I‘d have thought it’d have been over and done with by now if he’d decided to stay at Villa.
