Great point on Ferran. Several times last year he looked like he had poacher instincts in box. If he hadn’t have had to have got subbed against Brighton after his Newcastle hat trick he could have started/affected the CL team selection too. All ifs buts and maybes!

Did spurs qualify for Europe wonder with this spending although not huge will they still be under scrutiny of ffp considering the shit they are in financially..Or is that only reserved for Manchester City ..

They did. They’re in the Conference League. If they get out of their group, they might have to face a professional team.

And imagine that poacher’s instinct with a year in the prem under his belt and the likes of Grealish and Kev behind him. I think Levy’s overestimating the hand he’s got or doesn’t mind keeping the player.

Probably the latter. Given football finances in general (and accepting its not my money so who cares!) doesn’t make any sense to go to extremis on Kane to me. But we don need a striker signing for depth and cover for Gabby (and Ferran?) so who else is out there?

Torres seems a bit of an oddball of a character. Aloof. it could be his making if he becomes a “mentality monster” TM, but it could also be his downfall if he isn’t mentally strong.

Agree. Very Sane like. You can almost predict the game he will have from early touches and contributions. Proper knack of being in right place in box for ball to drop to him tho. Instinctive

He’s had a hard first season to be fair to him. Covid, no fans, hard to get home to see his family etc.

Hopefully it’ll click for him soon and he gets that burning hunger and desire to be the best.
 
Pep has said 1 more player so it’s gotta be Kane. The players not happy with minutes will continue to do their best if a solution is not found. We are in for a fantastic season if we can keep the injuries to a min.

I don’t know, the only others in that category were probably Andre Silva and the Dutch lad (Weghorst?) who I doubt Pep would fancy. Would probably be false 9 again.
