Harry Kane

I’m not interested in discussion with someone who excludes his substitute appearances from the stats but keeps the goals he scored from those substitute appearances in them.

That would be a really clever point if I had actually done that...

Goodbye.

What is it that makes you think that bargains will be gifted to those that wait?
And would you like to buy some magic beans?

Haaland won’t be available for £67M.
That figure is merely his release clause, the amount Dortmund get.
If he’s sold it will be for full market value (the maximum amount that the market will bear) and the difference between £67M and market value will go to Haaland, his fat agent and his sponging Dad.
The difference may be expressed as signing on fees, Daddies bungs, fat agent fees and / or ridiculous salary but Raiola will ensure that they don’t miss out on one cent of potential gain.

Agree but say agent gets 20m father gets 20m Haaland gets 20m signing on fee and he get 500k a week for five years that’s a grand total of around 250m that’s amortisation of 50m is it worth it?

To my knowledge, no-one at Spurs has come right out and said, Harry Kane is our player and he will be here in the coming season. I certainly haven't seen it anywhere. Not even Levy. What has been said is that Kane is a Tottenham Hotspur player (implied: at present) and that he's an important player for Tottenham. Which is a truism that isn't even worth stating. Funnily enough, I think the world and his little dog had noticed those two facts. My impression is that this is still on the table, and will go right to the wire.
Pure speculation, of course (like 95% of everything on this thread).

It’s not amortised at £50m per season as wages are not included in the annual amortisation figures bud.

But fuck yeah. It’s worth it.

I think this whole Kane saga is a case of who's more stubborn, Levy or Omar. Neither want to budge on price hence stalemate
Yeah real stalemate but if the club want him we need to find a solution, in an ideal world we could get him this week, put him on the bench vs arsenal and properly integrate him after the international break but thats all hyperthetical of course.

It city view him as essential then it's for us to close the gap between valuations.

Levy will cut his nose of to spite his face if need be as having Kane helps then try and make some sort of recovery towards the top 4.

I think that indeed might be the case however that is part of negotiation. If they both want the deal there will have to be compromise from both sides.

As neither side has seemingly walked away that still looks the most likely outcome

If this fails to happen and that’s levy and spurs decision not to sell unless it’s the supposed figure of £150mill they want,I hope we can get someone else in,if not I hope we destroy levy and spurs somewhere down the line ..

So you are Puma, you just paid £650m for the rights to sell CFG kits, you want to recoup your money, MCFC sign two great players, both have been #10 at their previous clubs, who do you give the iconic #10 if you want to maximize shirt sales? The boring one or the beautiful one?
Players and their numbers don't increase shirt sales, and of the few across history that do load of them changed shirt numbers when they moved (Beckham, Messi, Kaka, Brazilian Ronaldo etc) There's only so many ways to say this. Additionally, if it was so important Kane would be the England number 10, he's not. It would be all over his social media, it's not. It's bollocks. Kit manufacturers don't designate shirt numbers, so that point is moot as well. Finally, City's number 10 shirt is not particularly "iconic" either.

Grealish should play in a mini skirt with them set of pins on him.

Think it's bollox but if that's true then fuck me crying over a shirt number of be thinking of the number of trophies not a fucking shirt
Maybe not him but his PR team telling him where money is.

We see the media knowing exactly where their customer base is and selling directly to them with biased reporting of news.
Multi million pound deals become so because they maximize opportunities rather than fairly distributing shirt numbers according to positions on the team as an example.

How dare you insult The Goat like that!

Unfortunately the silence from @BillyShears and @tolmie's hairdoo on this speaks volumes imo.

On my part it speaks to absolutely nothing other than I've been on holiday for the last two weeks and tried to disconnect as much as possible from the internet.

However its also fair to say I've had fuck all to say really. This has been the weirdest transfer we've been involved in since the Kaka one IMO. I'm not sure it'll end the same way but I'm absolutely nowhere near as confident as I was a month ago about it.

This has become a very binary window in general. If they land Kane it'll be tremendous. If they don't it'll be absolutely appalling. There's no in-betweens left.
