Not sure who it was (may have been Gary Cook) but someone described Dzeko as scoring "heavy goals" in the moments that really mattered. That's a great turn of phrase.
David Platt.

Apparently all agreed with Kane and his people just spurs to deal with unless that’s sorted as well ..
Only if a fee is agreed with Spurs.Grealish came to Manchester on the evening of Wednesday 4th. Medical the next morning and unveiled later on Thursday 5th August.
So by Wednesday this week will determine if we get Kane IMO..
As far as you’re aware. This being football, things change. Surely it’s possible that Pep could change his mind with a few days to go, or do you really think that it’s Kane or bust? They won't sign anyone if they don't get Kane.
Yep that's what I meant lolOnly if a fee is agreed with Spurs.
Exactly why I've not been able to grasp the sudden excitement at this 'news'Isn’t this exactly the same position we’ve been in for about 4 weeks?
I thought it was just me..... We must be missing something. :-|Exactly why I've not been able to grasp the sudden excitement at this 'news'

See I started exactly the same. I have been swayed though towards being excited by us getting him. However, scraping the barrel daily for the slightest snipped of news has somewhat sapped any excitement out of it and now it's just become boring and tiresome. That’s kind of the entire experience of potentially signing Kane for me, if I’m honest.
I’ll be happy Pep’s got the player he wants, and that we’ll actually be able to play a team with a recognised striker again - but I just can’t get any enthusiasm behind this one. No matter how hard I try!
That’s pretty scary, and very stubborn from Pep - which makes it very likely to be true as he’s a stubborn wanker (but I guess that’s why we love him)Anything is possible. But if you ask me it’s Kane or bust.

You don't become the best by bottling out of your targets and settling for second best.Levy is helping Chelsea & Liverpool to fight for the league title as he knows perfectly well that Senor Guardiola will not pay the required £150 million by when it will be too late to buy an alternative. We should have upset AVFC even more and snatched Danny Ings from under their noses.
Not sure what to make of all this.
On one hand I feel that we absolutely will sign Kane. Why on earth would we let Agüero leave, hear Khaldoon saying we will replace him, and apparently not even having a backup option for Kane if we wouldn't sign him? Surely our club is not run by idiots, and doing all of this only to end up with no replacement is something only an idiot would do. Therefore he has to sign right?
On the other hand, we have only about a week left of the transfer window. We have known for half a year we need a replacement and we still failed to have one before the season started. Still no reliable rumours about a fee being agreed, and the time is running out. In fact it seems like this transfer is very much relying on whether Levy is willing to make himself look like an complete idiot in the eyes of the public and reduce the price tag with only a few days left of the transfer window.
Not sure what to believe, at this point I just want the window to end so we can focus on the season. But if we end up replacing our clubs top goal scorer of all time with an RW playing out of position and a youth player, someone at the club should be looking for a new job.
Why stubborn ? Pep doesnt want dross, he knows exactly what and who he needs , many considerationsThat’s pretty scary, and very stubborn from Pep - which makes it very likely to be true as he’s a stubborn wanker (but I guess that’s why we love him)
