Not sure why this has been going on so long, did the club think that they would fold? Were they giving spuds a chance to get replacements lined up that never materialised?

All we can hope for is the club has been prepared and have a plan considering it was always a risky transfer to complete. Unfortunately the striker market is pretty bare so dont see a "Dias" type signing from nowhere unless the scouts have been working overtime.
