Anyone giving @tolmie's hairdoo grief because this fell out of bed is an absolute fucking cretin.

He's not fucking Mystic Meg.

...absolutely BANG ON! I was just about to post similar myself.

Information is imparted on an honest basis. If forum members can't understand that, get to fuck back onto The Caf, or go and write something for tomorrow's papers without sponging a living off here.

imagine Ronaldo coming here for a year, smashing in more goals than kane, winning the CL and winning the balloon Door with us.

That's the stuff dreams are made off

Heads should roll in our recruitment department after this shitshow of a summer, I'm absolutely fine with people saying this is an overreaction but we're wasting a year of the best manager on the planet and the best creative midfielder on the planet without a centre forward, this is completely unforgivable.

But the barca boys will never be binned off so again we go into the season hoping our manager can perform miracles without 1 striker at his disposal, jokers
Hahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa what a crock of shite.

I just can’t get my head around the fact that we knew what Levy was like and have spent all summer ignoring other players just to end up here. Most people could see it from a mile away and now we’re just gonna not get anyone in at all

The trouble with Haaland and even Ronaldo as I see it, is probably the wages that they require. PSG, Real Madrid will probably absorb Galactico wages as they have a history of doing so. I think we have a wage structure that would be blown open and could cause unrest in the squad. Having said that the fees for Ronaldo this year and Haaland next would probably mitigate the outlay.

I feel like the club taking a players word and then that backfiring has been the case with a lot of big deals over past couple of years. City lack ruthlessness in transfer market and it bites them over and over again

I am delighted that we walked away at a certain point. That might stand to us in the future too.

I am still hoping that there's another signing but to be honest I'm not sure if it should be a ST, LB or CM.

I'm delighted with Grealish because I think he addresses what held us back most last year. I thought Sterling on the left was like banging our heads against a wall week after week. Now we have a Foden/Grealish choice plus the hope that Sterling improves on the left, is an option on the right or becomes a central striker. And as a bonus Grealish covers the middle too. IMO he is worth 100M more than Kane was worth 100M+ (obviously a striker is always a premium though so more expensive but there has to be a limit).

Correct. A deal is never done until it is actually done.

People often have intentions in respect of transfers that people hear about but until all parties sign the paperwork, things can and do go wrong.

Who's word did we take? And are you privvy to how the deal didn't get done, and who is to blame?

Yes, nieve really, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me

Which one, mate?

City didn't kill the Ronaldo link stone dead. Haaland's name was again thrown into the mix, strangely.

If Spurs are steering he isn't for sale at any price, it is clearly contradictory, knowing what they have previously steered as to their valuation.

It may suggest City's best and final is still way short, or we have simply pulled the plug, so Levy is now trying to steal the PR win as him standing firm, irrespective of City's money.

Kane is absolutely livid with Levy and I think there is still a late twist in the tale.
I’d have had mixed feelings whichever way the Kane transfer saga went. I’m just glad it’s over….. or so I thought until you alluded otherwise. Kane is a very good player, but Spuds want money like he’s Messi at 25.
