Said my piece on Ronaldo a day or so prior to the Kane collapse.

Will respectfully leave whatever accountability is desired on here to Sky Sports News and Twitter for the remainder.
Woah steady on, I hope you're not trying for an early dart here!

There's the best part of a week to go and I'm afraid you're still on the clock my friend.

Think about your question and what your expectations are for such a request?

Less than 24 hours ago the club were briefing they we were ready to go right up to the window and Kane still wanted out.

There is no conspiracy, just the club being on a different page and the player deciding to call it quits.
I think if people have a go or say you got it wrong blah blah blah that’s not on.

However, when a transfer is over one way or another, it’s like getting to the end of a book when the murderer is revealed but the clues don’t add up. I’d be flicking back and thinking what did I miss? Not from a critical point of view but more from curiosity.

For example if someone says Wednesday is a big day and nothing seems to happen I’d wonder what what they meant or if, in hindsight, they knew now.

I like the gossip whether it’s right or wrong because the result I can’t do anything about.

And not a whiff of them ruining the market, or being disrespectful to other clubs or blood money or inflating the market.
Bless.
It would be difficult to claim Chelsea are ruining the market when they've got a positive net spend this summer.

They have sold Abraham for £35m. Tomori for £26m. Zappacosta for £8m. Moses for £5m. Giroud for £1m.Now Zouma for £25m.

Honestly I find whining about people spending is even more grating when it's coming from City fans who should know better than when it's Arsenal or Spurs fans whining about us.

I think it was likely City who pulled the plug rather than Kane. From his message yesterday it was clear he still wants out.

Meanwhile, we’re possibly looking at loaning out Bernie…

Isn't that less than the £95m they've already spent on Lukaku?

** Edit, maths isn't my strong point obviously!

The first bit made sense but your last paragraph has left me tongue tied.
Ah well.

Tbh, I think it's more about the hypocrisy of the reporting. I'd think (hope?) that City fans were more aware of the legitimacy of Chelsea's dealings.

only thing i'm genuinely envious of chelsea is they can sell players for way more than they are worth somehow

Anyone older than about 25 should remember Chelsea got plenty of "ruining football" and "buying the league" talk from 2003 onwards.

They get less now because 1) They aren't the biggest spenders by any measure and 2) They bring in more money through sales than almost any other club in the world. and 3)They only win a title every 3 or 4 years.

don't get disappointed bro. These things happen. I normally do not see newspaper for transfer update. I get the updates here and mostly the informations are by you. We receive information 2/3 days prior to the reports of newspaper.
It's all because of you and mattyb of course.
In other side if u want fame u must take the blame as well. But never give up.

I agree with most of that, apart from the blame bit. There should be no allocation of 'blame' to the forum ITK's, they all post in good faith any little snippets they get. They don't have to, but I guess they are all blues like us and want to share.

I love the cut and thrust and conjecture, but 'blame' - nah just take it all with a pinch of salt and be grateful you dont have to rely on just Twitter and the DM for info.

I get that some blues disappointment might spill over to need to blame someone, but eet eez football.
