Not sure we could plan based on Mendy being in jail. Being pro-active is always important in recruitment, Nuno Mendes should've been brought and loaned back for another season at worst.

Not sure why anyone is thinking Mendy causes a big change in our planning he was our 3rd possibly even 4 th choice left back.

True. But he is the only specialist LF ln the FTS. For a long time people gave this guy the benefit of the injury doubt but I was never that impressed with him since before he joined us. It does not seem to bother a lot of people but it would be nice, assuming Mendy is no more, to get a proper LB in some time soon.

Never got al lthe hype over mendes, he is not that great if you watch the portuguese league not better than cancelo there or as good as the likes of Digne at everton

Would trust zinc, laporte or cancelo thaere just as much.

at this stage in the window that is the only realistic way if concluding it, for any club. Quick loan deal, witthe an obligation to buy at an agreed fee, otherwise won't happen on time. Which is ot something we usually do, and i can see PSG sorting this one out.
