Harry Kane

There was one move yesterday against Utd that was obviously from the training ground because you could see the movement. It involved him winning a flick on at the half way line then getting it back, spraying it wide then busting a bollock to get into the box before a shit cross hit its first man. A few times yesterday he made runs and didn’t get the ball. It’s an odd one, almost like teammates don’t seem to trust him which is madness.

Add the fact that the spud fans are getting on his back and booing when he does something wrong and the realisation that his big move has been and gone because of a chairman not keeping his promise. He’s probably fed up and performances are showing that.

It’s a shame because I maintain under a manager like Pep who would play to his strengths he’d bag an unholy amount.

If he keeps up his current form until the January window opens then surely £90-£100m would bag him. I think public opinion (or certainly Spurs fans) would be it's best to let him leave.

Apps don't sign him, his form reminds me of Sterling form right now and he keeps getting older

Funny reading the spurs forum this morning. After news broke of Kane staying they where mostly all very excited and celebrating the fact they had beat city (how the fuck do you win a transfer window). Anyways penny has dropped for some. Below post from a member puts its nicely:

“Should have cashed in when the offer was made.

Was obvious to anyone with a brain.

Problem is Levy thinks he's a genius. When he's just a thick ****”

I think it’s obvious Kane is struggling mentally after not getting his move and the way spurs handled the whole situation was pretty sinister imo. He was made out to be the bad guy which the press lapped up. To me it’s pretty obvious levy lied to Kane and as a result has caused this whole mess where spurs, Kane and city are all suffering. You just don’t become a bad player overnight

Which chance would he have buried yesterday? I think had we had 'Arry up front it wouldn't have made the difference. And 'Arry himself would be wondering today why so many of his goals have been disallowed by VAR - it never happened down The Lane!
It’s more having a presence upfront in games like that. Someone to actually occupy centre halves and hold the ball up and create space for others. It would also mean our best player isn’t stuck up there battling big central defenders and getting on the ball more often. That’s before you get to the fact Kane can actually head a ball, shoot from distance and is one of the best natural finishers in the world.

Shit start to a season in an awful side though so people are writing him off. What’s happening to us is what I feared with no striker. Still have a decent goal tally because once we get a goal or 2 we can batter shit sides. More games with 0 goals than we’ve seen in years though and will probably cost us our title despite being the best in the league when fully on it.

We have already spunked huge amounts on supposedly great players, but who lack pace, i.e. Grealish, Rodri, Mahrez etc. In fact the only attacking player we have with any pace is Sterling, and his form is shot. KDB has become a carthorse and we simply cannot rely on a diminutive Foden to break the lines when he's physically not a match for those he's trying to out run. We certainly do not need to waste another huge sum of money on another slow coach Kane. In short the team has wilted as a collective and have offered little on the break since Sane left. It's no surprise that the most mobile and speedy players we possess are our best performers, with Kyle Walker and Bernardo the only 2 we have who consistently perform. The flaw in finding a replacement for Aguero is almost gross negligence and the fact it's not being more readily questioned emphasises how the various management areas within our club do not seem accountable. As it stands, Pep goes in 18 months and unless something dramatic happens with fresh pacy attacking players in the January window, I can see nothing but a lingering demise playing out until June 23.

Pep out, Sack the Board

Very few players sign for us and adapt immediately, with Guardiola’s system arguably being easier for those facing the play to grasp than those operating in the final third. Similarly, it is easier to come in and do well when already in form. Were we to sign Kane in the coming winter window, we might see him settled next season, but were we to sign him next summer, we might not see him settled until 2023-24.

I would imagine that ship has thus sailed.

Yeah if his head isn't fully there then it means that every day he's never going to quite be 100%. People don't realise it's not just matches that get affected, but also every training session too which in turn will affect matches again.

For some players that's not too bad but for some players losing just that little bit can completely change you. Normally we see the issues like this in players that are just a tiny bit too old but there's been plenty that have just lost it somewhat upstairs, Alexis Sanchez being a prominent example.

What's sad for Kane is that the longer he stays stuck at Spurs the less likely it is he'll get out of the rut and go back to the levels he showed in previous years. Especially at his age with his fitness issues.

I hope we table a derisory, totally unacceptable, laughable and downright piss taking offer in January for him. For no other reason than to annoy Levy. Kind of like Jim Bowen saying "here's what you could have won" at the end of Bullseye.
I think Levy prefers the Blankety Blanket pen and chequebook.

That's the spirit mate
