I just wish that the anti vax brigade were made to take out health insurance for hospital care if and when they get ill, so the rest of us dont have to pay for their stupidity.

That’s what most people are doing. It’s a bumpy ride though and sometimes there will be setbacks. We just have to adapt accordingly.

Wearing a mask in a shop or on a bus is not much of a hardship to endure.

I'm not saying I don't care about the lives lost, of course I do, but reading about it everyday is doing no good.

Don’t then if it’s getting you down.

I started off watching the daily briefings and worked out pretty early on that they were mostly pointless.

I then checked Healdplace’s figures from time to time to see where we were at.

Overkill can only be a negative thing.
 
This is interesting if true but I guess it could change.

South Africa recorded 2,828 new Covid cases yesterday, more than double the 1,374 recorded last Thursday, but infection levels have yet to skyrocket in the country and no hospitalisations with the new variant have occurred so far.

Spot on mate. Why should we wear masks just to stop some selfish fuckers from dying. Also sickens me that we are so quick to condemn breaches of human rights elsewhere in the world, while it's basically Germany in 1938 here with masks in the shops instead of yellow stars sewn on our clothes. I congratulate you on your maturity and sense of perspective.

Best case scenario is it being highly contagious, but harmless so we all get it but have nothing to show for our troubles but antibodies. Fingers crossed....

am not a conspiracy nut, triple jabbed but amazing how these things coincidentally happen just before summer holidays or Xmas.

Barely anyone is vaccinated and there were no dominant strains, so it was easy for a new one to take hold. That’s what I read from an expert anyway.

Because Boris said a long long time ago unless you had a medical condition without proof you didn’t need to wear a mask, at that exact time it came down to decency towards your fellow man which a great number of the British public lack.
