I used to like him a lot but this season changes my mind.

I don't think Lukaku will suit City style. He could not press as much as our players - more suitable for a counter attacking team.

Plus his recent interview really reflects his immature professional attitude. Definitely something City does not need. We don't want a prima dona.

It's same case as Ronaldo, not talent wise. They both have the same problem like your describe but their weakness will be covered by our superior and tireless midfielder to provide support for them creating chances and pressing while they can easily just waiting to get serviced and get a goal.

But they only can be effective against mid and lower table side which their superior finishing is helpfull to kill game faster in first half. So yeah not that great and pretty limited but they can still helpfull and provide an option for Pep.

He was part of the Chelsea squad in 2012

Sort of like how Mangala has a PL winners medal only even less contribution.
Or Jonathan Greening. Pretty sure he played in the final as Keane was banned - and got a winners medal. I mean fair fucks and all, but it’s not like he was pivotal in the run.

Bit surprised by the sounds out of Chelsea recently, seems to be a lot of whining off the back of a few weeks of dodgy results. Going to need to show some effort to get a result against the scousers, unless covid does for the game

Yeah totally agree.

That is also why I am more interested in Kane/Haaland instead of Vlahovic.

Kane and Haaland are very much a team player with humble attitude even when they are more talented than their teammates. I have seen many cases when Vlahovic shouted at his teammates threw water bottle when he was angry etc...

If he bags the winner on Sunday there'll not be many grumbles around the stadium to be fair

Probably not but I think he'll have to carry us to some success for the fans to look the other way. Costa wanted out at some point too, even when on strike when he started feuding with Conte. The fans love him because he helped us win 2 titles.
