It would be similar to Cancelo/Danilo deal in 2 separate transactions if it happenedLol! Surely even with a year to go on his contract and coming into his peak age sterling is worth £50m?

They bought Adama Traore.Well you made me laugh and make a mistake in my reply.
I don't think there's any interest due to his wage demands and inconsistent level of performance
Think he’s on about double that, if reports are right. What’s he on? About £250k a week?
For £60m and have him cut that to £200k a week (plus bonuses) it’d be a very smart signing.
He took a cut during the COVID/Keep Messi at all costs stuff. He's prob due a big payoff back, but its about 300k now,.Think he’s on about double that, if reports are right.
That’s still a crazy salary after the cut.He took a cut during the COVID/Keep Messi at all costs stuff. He's prob due a big payoff back, but its about 300k now,.
Yeah, gonna have to convince him. Look you got paid, now its time to be the best in the world for less. That’s still a crazy salary after the cut.
With lucrative bonuses for good performance.Yeah, gonna have to convince him. Look you got paid, now its time to be the best in the world for less.
Ring ringIt would be quite a coup for them to convince a player of de Jong’s stature to join them in their current state, and with no CL to offer him next season - new manager or not.
I can’t see it happening for them. Although I definitely can imagine their fans getting carried away with themselves, and giving it out to anyone who’ll listen about the players desperate to join the next in their conveyor belt of bang average journeymen touted as the New Messiah and bestest Manager ever!
I could actually see both Raz and Jesus going to Barca and DeJong plus cash coming our wayIt would be similar to Cancelo/Danilo deal in 2 separate transactions if it happened
£70m for Raz & then £85m for FDJ
The fee is about £59 million whilst Haaland’s release clause is £63 million. In total, that’s £122 million which is affordable for us.
I don’t think Barcelona would want Sterling. They’ve got Ferran, Dembele, Adama and Ansu Fati. It could potentially happen if they don’t make Adama’s move permanent and Dembele doesn’t extend. Not if Raheem and Barca are up for the swap.
Haaland and De Jong for £63m is meltdown territory.

Been linked with Raphinha too. Sterling to replace Adama and Raphinha to replace Dembele makes sense. Wonder how much they’d want on top of Sterling for De Jong.Adama and Dembele possibly on the way out and Fati, poor kid, is just extremely unreliable physically

They certainly wanted him back in late November when they asked City to take him on loan when also brokering Torres.
At this stage, Barca are still having to portray they are relevant, even if it means taking big names like Aubameyang.
Sterling earns a similar amount to De Jong right now, in terms of the wages he agreed to defer during Covid.
For Barca, taking a reputational England player for effectively nothing, whilst also offloading De Jong's wages, is an open goal if presented.
Let's remember, they took Sergio on a free and he was essentially on his last legs.
Again, all because of his huge name and Barca trying to convince the wider football world they are still glamorous.
