He was getting criticised in the match day thread last night. Okay, he went ball hunting for their goal but I thought his distribution and anticipation were top quality. Last night, he was the best defender on the pitch, in my opinion. Rolls Royce of a player.

That's because we have several regulars commenting about football when they know fuck all or next to fuck all about football.

Come on now, I thought he was great personally, but If some were complaining about his decisions on their goal, they'd be within their rights.

really hope he can play on Sunday though it looks doubtful with the injury. Dont want his great City career to finish with him out injured

I wasn't on about you pal, but if the cap fits; )
I know you weren't on about me. Coz I thought he was splendid. His movement on the goal, or the communication by all 3 defenders in that sequence was shit. But overall, I was loving him on the ball. He is like a better John Stones bringing it out of the back.

But the 2 errors happened and I can't fault those who wanted to point it out. Had those been Laporte, you know it'd have led to a 5 page discussion.

His distribution has always been excellent, on a par with KdB for me, very different roles obviously, but he has some very good other attributes.
Wait a minute!!! Let's slow it down a tad. On par? Only God and prime Messi are on par with KDB when it comes to passing. No one else. No one.

But I appreciate that Dihno's passing is grossly underated.

Love.love,love,love him.....

But a 37yr old midfielder past his sell by date should never ever be playing out of position in a team fighting for a title.

How the fuck has a club like ours ended up with that as a situation??

Blimey, that was a hard watch. I admire him for putting his body on the line time and time again, but the club should be asking questions about how it has come to this.

Because we have three central defenders injured at the same time as our right back. Now, granted, we should have an Academy player ready to step up but this is truly the business end and that's a big call to make.

Agree that he shouldn’t be put into this position. But we’ve bought a back up centre half who although talented and improving is mostly injured.

It is,but we should be in a place that ensures we can.

There were other options in midfield too.
