If an independent inquiry finds against the dippers they (and the media) will just say the members of the committee were bought off like they did with us at CAS.
This kid is at every big match going, he's been to a fair few of ours. I've no idea how he does it but this is his take on the game
Baffles me how they can outright deny it wasn’t their fault. Their excuse is “every final there’s fakes”, well yeah there is, but I’ve seen endless amount of Liverpool fans on Twitter bragging how they got fakes or get in without any sort of ticket. They didn't say there were 40k fakes. They said there were 30-40,000 fans with either no tickets or fake tickets.
We know from multiple media sources that there were 50,000 Liverpool fans in Paris. We know that LFC were allocated 20,000 tickets, so 30-40,000 with no tickets or fake tickets may not be so very wide of the mark. But so what if the actual figure is 15,000? or 20,000? The evidence strongly suggests that the problem was caused by a large number of people seeking to attend a game they had no right to attend, and the authorities being overwhelmed. The specifics remain under investigation for the time being, but if people are going to take issue with what the French have said it seems sensible to react to what they actually said and not the way someone else has twisted their words.
I’m guessing ticketless fans and fans with fakes who didn’t get inIf that is true, and presumably it must be easy to check the no-shows, then who were the thousands of other people outside the LFC gates?
Get there early blues and get in the pubs before that lot. Let’s see ‘em try and shift us!Will the FA hold and inquiry after the Community Shield at Leicester’s ground? 15,000 fans each. 5pm kick off on a Saturday. Leicester’s small city centre full of City and Liverpool fans.
What could go wrong?
It really does look like a lot of LFC fans did rock up with blag tickets and took their chances. Perhaps not 30,000 but probably a lot more than the 2,800 figure which seems to be the bare minimum. I think this could unravel for Liverpool FC. They should not have been so quick to demand apologies and the partisan English press has, as usual, made fools of themselves with their hysterical and dishonest coverage.I’m guessing ticketless fans and fans with fakes who didn’t get in
Spot-on. This will be carnage. The idea of travelling to Leicester to spend the day with the most feral fanbase in Europe has no appeal. This game should have been played in the North West, perhaps at Bolton. It could be managed better by the police in the North West. Will the FA hold an inquiry after the Community Shield at Leicester’s ground? 15,000 fans each. 5pm kick off on a Saturday. Anything between a vicar's tea party and Armageddon. I think it might be a lot closer to the latter! Will the FA hold an inquiry after the Community Shield at Leicester’s ground? 15,000 fans each. 5pm kick off on a Saturday. Leicester’s small city centre full of City and Liverpool fans.

Especially if one of the trails leads all the way back to Liverpool FC’s ticket office…..There is a saying: Be careful what you wish for.
I think this might apply to Littlewoods in this case.
Especially if one of the trails leads all the way back to Liverpool FC’s ticket office…..
It really doesn't matter. All sides will claim to have been fully vindicated and the report will be sufficiently ambiguous in its findings to allow that. What sort of timescales are likely for the findings to be released?

The French were stupid to mention the absurd 40,000 figure which played into LFC's hands but, despite the ridiculous coverage, most sensible football fans will see this incident for what it really was.
THEY nearly caused another Hillsborough. Their manager needs to shut his mouth instead of risking lives of fans. He's got no idea why/how Heysel and Hillsborough happened.Sure as shit the Echo and scousers online are now linking it to experiences of hillsborough. I cant imagine how traumatic it must have been to be at Hillsborough but this was a fucking far cry from that and what the French Police did was make sure another Hillsborough didnt happen.
They bring Hillsborough in to EVERYTHING, but hey, Fuck Heysel, lets have a parade on that anniversary. Cunts
