The evidence strongly suggests that the problem was caused by a large number of people seeking to attend a game they had no right to attend, and the authorities being overwhelmed. The specifics remain under investigation for the time being, but if people are going to take issue with what the French have said it seems sensible to react to what they actually said and not the way someone else has twisted their words.

Baffles me how they can outright deny it wasn’t their fault. Their excuse is “every final there’s fakes”, well yeah there is, but I’ve seen endless amount of Liverpool fans on Twitter bragging how they got fakes or get in without any sort of ticket.

I’ve just seen a video on Twitter just now which Robbie Fowler has posted, it’s awful, sickening in fact. Loads of Liverpool fans packed in like sardines against a turnstile, a steward grabs a Liverpool fans tickets and walks away with it. The blokes daughter is screaming in pain shouting they are our tickets. Absolutely awful, UEFA and France should be ashamed.

But that doesn’t mean Liverpool are blameless. There needs to be a fair enquiry, but let’s be honest, UEFA are not exactly angels.

It really does look like a lot of LFC fans did rock up with blag tickets and took their chances. Perhaps not 30,000 but probably a lot more than the 2,800 figure which seems to be the bare minimum. I think this could unravel for Liverpool FC. They should not have been so quick to demand apologies and the partisan English press has, as usual, made fools of themselves with their hysterical and dishonest coverage.
The French were stupid to mention the absurd 40,000 figure which played into LFC's hands but, despite the ridiculous coverage, most sensible football fans will see this incident for what it really was.

Spot-on. This will be carnage. The idea of travelling to Leicester to spend the day with the most feral fanbase in Europe has no appeal. This game should have been played in the North West, perhaps at Bolton. It could be managed better by the police in the North West.
 
Sure as shit the Echo and scousers online are now linking it to experiences of hillsborough. I cant imagine how traumatic it must have been to be at Hillsborough but this was a fucking far cry from that and what the French Police did was make sure another Hillsborough didnt happen.

They bring Hillsborough in to EVERYTHING, but hey, Fuck Heysel, lets have a parade on that anniversary. Cunts

The claim today was that the same ticket was duplicated 700+ times
If that was the case then surely they can work out who the original ticket was allocated to. Just don't let Merseyside police do the investigation.

THEY nearly caused another Hillsborough. Their manager needs to shut his mouth instead of risking lives of fans. He's got no idea why/how Heysel and Hillsborough happened.

But their fans too, they get well over excited and tbh its the media that whip them up into it
