This is my worry with this signing. Bloom is tough to do business with and if he doesn’t get the fee he wants he won’t sell. Fingers crossed we will pay what is required as imo he will be fantastic for us
 
Brighton fans? Who gives a fuck what they think. They’ll be back to supporting the rags/scousers when they eventually go down.

They’re entitled to set an asking price and if we deem it too high we’ll move on, not an issue. I’d imagine it will be an issue to the likes of Cucurella, Lamptey and any other young talented players they have or might sign. Players might not be so willing to join them in future…

Fans are always more defensive though when their best players leave? We were told Leeds wouldn’t sell for less than £60m but reality bites in a multi million pound world and at say £40m plus add ons on a player they paid £16m just a year ago is how clubs like Brighton function?

It’s a peculiar attitude reserved just for us ,I remember the bitterness of Everton fans over Lescott
 
I guess it would make sense if they were focusing their attention on Phillips the last week or more. Hopefully they shift to cucu now and can make some advances quickly. If Brighton are going to be stubborn idiots hopefully they move on to raum.

Thanks for the update mate.

Makes sense - I can see this one being very difficult to get over the line, given their owner and the fact the player is on a four year deal. They’re under absolutely no pressure to sell.

If we do get him, we’ll have to pay more than we’d like to get it done.
