And for a whopping £13 per month all they get in return is BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, Radio 1 Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio 5, BBC Sounds which includes a huge archive drama, comedy and documentaries stretching back decades, BBC Iplayer which includes a huge archive drama, comedy and documentaries stretching back decades and all the content on the BBC website.

That's not to mention the regional BBC services, the specific broadcasting for Wales, Scotland and NI, the Welsh, Scots and Irish language broadcasts and the BBC World Service.

The good thing here is there's something for everyone so even if pensioners don't like BBC3 or 1extra maybe their grandkids will and its all affordable because we all make the same moderate contribution.

Post Savile the BBC has implemented a large range of safeguarding, and whistleblowing policies for staff who wish to raise concerns and, in conjunction with the NSPCC, have dedicated child protection officers, so it's worry that you seem think that all 22,000 members of staff are protecting paedophiles-perhaps you could elaborate on your concerns so we can alert the proper authorities?

Now, of course, there are some people who use the historic cases of abuse and the relatively small cost of the licence fee to attack the BBC when really they are angry that it isn't simply a right-wing echo chamber for senile racists and, for balance, there are people on the left that are convinced that it's simply an extension of the right wing Tory establishment. It's worth bearing in mind as you wouldn't want to be perceived as one of those moronic nut-jobs.
Now you’ve got that off your chest can you explain why, given that fantastic value you’ve outlined, I must buy a tv license if I want to watch live tv other than the bbc?

And while we’re at it, yes, due to turning a blind eye - many, such as the saintly Esther Rantzen had concerns but didn’t speak up for some reason - the bbc were a safe haven for paedos for years, which shouldn’t be glossed over. They are an extension of the right wing establishment; I can sort of guess that by the way the Tory government renews their license to print money every ten years. Gary Linacre can fuck off too.

Edit: good luck Kalvin.

Depressing but not surprising that decades of malign, commercially driven greed, self-interest and political pressure from evil, entitled old tax dodgers like Murdoch, Rothermere and the Barclay brothers has now become rote for large swathes of the population.
They continually bang on about paedos when the irony is that they themselves have essentially been ‘groomed’ by the right wing press into parroting the same old attack lines.
Yes, Savile and others happened a long time ago.
So did Barry Bennell, lest we forget.
Going by their logic, does that make everyone connected with City today a child abuser?

not that anyone would notice it (due to our biased media concentrating on why Leeds should have screwed City for more money!) but our transfers/purchasing deparrtment have played an absolute blinder this year. Phillips cheap, Haaland cheap, Alverez cheap.

Its the sort of stuff that lfc or yutd would get endless headlines about. Dont you City fans forget that, they (The media) ignore it but our purchases have been probably the best in the world, an example to follow that even Simon Jordan has to admit is how to do business. But this country prefers to hate than to learn, thank god too. We're leaving the rest of football in our dust whilst they put it all down to "lots of money".

Well done City!
