Absolutely this deal is going through, be done by end of week in my opinion.
I wonder why he even wants to go at this point. The arrival of Haaland would surely have suited him down to the ground. Clearly he doesn't want to stay though and all finances apart, you don't try to keep a player who wants to bugger off so badly. I'd rather he stayed but if he doesn't want to consider a contract renewal, he'll have to go. Hope he has a totally shite season with Chelsea but it's his decision. End of.If Raz doesn't want to sign a new contract then realistically we only have this transfer window to make a decision on whats a reasonable transfer fee. The quote of 45m + 10m add ons comes from Chelsea side where as supposedly City want 60m. Do we really want to get in the situation that Arsenal used to every season when their players were running down their contracts & ended up paying over the odds wages wise for Ozil because they'd let Sanchez dictate terms.
Kalvin Phillips will no doubt be the new pet hate of the boo merchants, even if Raz stays. There's always 10% of any fan base that insist on a whipping boy and actively look out for one. Ederson came in for a bit of that nonsense too last season.Do you think that tipping point was against Lyon in the Champs League?
Are we going to be looking for a replacement, though. It's not long to the start of the season to find someone.Absolutely, without a doubt, the right thing to do...

Isn't he originally from the London area?Given the amount of negative comments ( bordering on abuse) he gets on here and other social media, i'm not surprised he want's move. Of course it could be about needing a change of scene or just a being another greedy footballer after even more dosh.
Yes he is.Isn't he originally from the London area?
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, not upon Thames. ;-)Yes he is.
Moved to London at the age of 5, lived all his adult life in the UK. Moved to dipperpool at the age of 15/16.Born in Kingston, Jamaica, not upon Thames. ;-)
Will be interesting to see how Sterling gets on at Chelsea and if they will play him wide or through the middle. Sterling on the whole has been great at City, but the time is right for him to move on.Must be close as Sky are running an online story of “Why Chelsea appreciate the true value of Sterling”.
Done deal.
Having grown up in London, I'm guessing that could be a factor in this move and it's not purely down to footballing reasons.Moved to London at the age of 5, lived all his adult life in the UK. Moved to dipperpool at the age of 15/16.
That is up to Kalvin. I hope he does well but from the limited amount I have seen of him he is well short of peak Ferno. In general I have no problem with lads having a go on here but booing players on the pitch or having a go in public is not acceptable imo.Kalvin Phillips will no doubt be the new pet hate of the boo merchants, even if Raz stays. I suspect our fans will show a lot more class than the Dipper fans did after he left them.If sterling moves on I assume our fans have a bit more sense and perspective than to suddenly start bleating about him being “greedy”.
Wrong thread ;)seems a good humble character, welcome KP
A nice round of applause and a quick chant of He's 3rd in the league ;)I suspect our fans will show a lot more class than the Dipper fans did after he left them.
Are there any players around who could match peak Fernandinho? That is up to Kalvin. I hope he does well but from the limited amount I have seen of him he is well short of peak Ferno.
