Wasn’t he only open to going to Barca, Madrid or PSG?…..

I fully respect the move from him. Could’ve still got game time for us, picking up a wedge, having his pick of clubs next year with a massive signing on fee.His decision to move now instead of next season is a mark of the man. Frustrating player but on his day absolutely fantastic. He leaves us with nothing but total respect. If Chelsea get the sterling who won us matches on his own then lucky them.
I always got the feeling sterling thrives when he has something to prove. The move from Liverpool and the abuse he received motivated him to new levels. Over the last 2 seasons he looked far to comfortably. Winning tons of trophies will have that effect.
Now he is onto pastures new and I have no doubt he will excel once again. The club wanted him to stay but ultimately it was sterling’s decision. Thanks for representing the shirt with pride.
Is that an improvement? I'm not so sureAgüero

And what, screw us?I do get the feeling that the smarter move would have been for him to hold out until next summer, simply because I don't see things going particularly well for Chelsea this season.
It is almost like you forgot who we bought him fromI totally get it but we're strengthening a potential rival which seems to be over looked by some
Would Chelsea sell anyone to us?
Jack, it is already bad enoughSo many on here desperate to belittle his achievements, never seen in any other performance/transfer threads. I wonder whose thread will take the mantle after he's gone.
And what, screw us?
Alvarez not really seen enough of him to judge to be honest, and has never played in the prem so nobody knows how he will adapt, Grealish In my opinion hasn't given us enough this season, and as for Palmer I reckon he is a long way off being a regular for us if everIs that an improvement? I'm not so sure
And even if we were to keep him for 1 more season, theres absolutely no knowing what kind of player we'd get. Such a hot and cold player.Strange move from Sterling’s side imo. From City’s perspective it’s a no brainer. £55 mil fee and around £15m saved in wages. Too much of a risk to lose £70m if he was to walk away on a free next summer.
The weird thing from Sterling’s side is that he’s has literally fluttered his eyelashes at Madrid for a number of years now. He even did an interview with a fuckin Madrid shirt draped over his shoulder and said it’s his dream to play there one day.
This move literally kills that dream. Not a chance are Madrid taking a 31 year old Sterling at the end of his Chelsea contract. Why he hasn’t just ran his contract down I’ll never know.
Anyway, best of luck to him (apart from against us obv). I think it’s the right time for him to move on personally.
Aguero missed 128 big chances in the PL with a shooting accuracy of 42%130 goals and 130 big chances missed sums him up.
How do we know he hasn’t got one? It’s not doing the same though is it, he’d have stayed put and waited for a big signing on fee.
How did you handle Kompany, Silva, Aguero etc departing?Alvarez not really seen enough of him to judge to be honest, and has never played in the prem so nobody knows how he will adapt, Grealish In my opinion hasn't given us enough this season, and as for Palmer I reckon he is a long way off being a regular for us if ever
