I would say if he is sold without a decent replacement (there isn’t a single footballer in the top five league that offers what he does to us so it’ll not be a like-for-like replacement), given how thin our squad is right now, then someone needs sacking.

But I expect we will bring someone in.

For that post, that was literally him thanking the support for the crowd chanting his name the entire half. 2) this is going to be the week where Barca and their media do everything to unsettle city in order for us to lower the teams price, expect another city media release with the club’s valuation to remind these cunts what the price is
 
I'm relaxed about it. The more I see of us this season, the less disastrous I think losing Bernie would be.

If I had a choice of who to sign if he goes, I think I'd probably prefer a winger with some pace. Between Rodri, Kalvin, Kevin, Gundo, Phil, Jack and Cole (and Sergio), we have plenty of options in midfield.

I think the presence of Haaland (and Alvarez) really benefits runners from midfield. And this could be the time to start moving Phil, and even Jack and Cole into the middle.

Pretty certain It'll be Paqueta or Nunes though. Which wouldn't be awful.
 
It will be a disaster if we let him go now. We have such a thin squad already. Don't let the first 2 games fool you. Bernardo leaving would undo any improvement we got from the signing of Haaland. I don't see any great replacement on the market.

No one is bigger than the club but he'll certainly be missed, and without adequate replacement we'll be looking a bit thin.
 
If he has to go could we maybe get Nunes AND paqueta with the Bernardo money?? Can’t imagine them two are on huge wages either and may get both for the transfer fee and wages of Bernardo? Two players for the price of one?

Hopefully if he goes we don't go and try and negotiate with Lyon for Paqueta and just pay the price which they want instead. Aulas doesn't negotiate the Lyon owner, he has a price you pay the price you get the player. He's like the Napoli owner

Getting 2 could block the pathway of academy players. McAtee in particular
