It reminds me of one of Pellegrini's press conferences when he was asked how he would cope with the upcoming Derby match atmosphere. He just smirked and replied he didn't expect any problems because he was used to some lively encounters (as River Plate Manager) with Boca Juniors! I don't think our press (and some fans) ever gave Manuel enough respect for his fantastic career.I hope Haaland and Alvarez are impressed with the atmosphere at the Etihad next season? After playing for Dortmund (the Yellow Wall) and River Plate (the whole stadium singing), I’m sure they will be impressed with the atmosphere at the Etihad this season. ;-)
Only watched on telly but did I hear the scousers singing" Barcelona, Real Madrid they will make a gallant bid, but we're out to show the world that we can score". I must have imagined it as surely the Kop would never copy Uniteds most famous chant.I thought our fans were brilliant yesterday. Seemed like we completely outnumbered them in the city centre before the game.
In the stadium I thought our fans were consistently louder and sang for longer than them (despite having less to sing about).
Their fans are good after they score or when the full time whistle goes. But throughout the game Liverpool fans are among the worst in the Prem.
If we ever did, our fans would speed it up so much they could fit it into 30 secondsWe need a song that we can sing for more than 30 seconds.
Wonderwall for me
Looks like Partridge…
They do. They actually put the effort in but I think it's less about the game and more about the atmosphere over there. English fans are miserable sods. Alot of the posts I see on here are people kicking off at the prospect of a drum or being called c*nts for standing.... while these attitudes persist, the atmosphere is not going to improve.MLS teams put alot of UK teams to shame

Can't wait to hear the Edin Dzeko chant again, all jokes aside, alot of the match going fans who stand in the kippax corner and south stand aren't on this forum. So when new songs ideas get put about, they don't get take off when someone takes it to the stands. In fact they just get looked at funny.....I'm sure the new players will soon learn the words to the 4 songs we sing majority of the time ffs.
I thought their end had louder chants with their whole half of the stadium seemingly joining in, but we sang more consistently for longer periods in the game but in fewer numbers.
All their end stood up all game, most of our end were sat down all game and many of those sat down didn’t contribute to the atmosphere.
It really does make me laugh the stick we get for our atmosphere and Liverpool get such praise when you see/hear games like tonight.
Looks like someone found the volume buttonAfter half an hour i asked Mrs Asa if she had turned the sound off.
Everyone fucks off to the bars at 35 and it takes so long they can't get back until 55Atmosphere was pretty good on Saturday.
Don’t know why the Singing Section always stop singing around the 35 minute mark though. Can be a swinging atmosphere and every game just seems to go *thump* and stops dead from around 35 mins to 55 mins.
The Bernardo chants were great second half.
Kippax Corner were excellent on Saturday. That was like going back ten years to when it was brilliant there most weeks… hopefully more of the same all season, because that’s the best part of the ground for atmosphere when they proper get going. They’re in a place in the corner where the sound seems to push itself out to the rest of the ground better than behind the goal.
