What do we think Billy........

Looks genuine mate.
Been played a lot I'd say, fret ware scratches etc.
Good price.
Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge. Ask him if he has the original. Just to have.
I prefer the humbucker, no hum :)

This is the one I've just ordered, within your price range.

I've had this a couple of weeks now.
Amazing acoustic for $250.
Id thoroughly recommend.
Great woods, lovely neck, perfectly finished.
Had to adjust the action as it was a tad high, took 10 minutes.
Even came with d'addario string's!
I've had many acoustics, this ranks highly, I don't know how they sell them at this price.

Looks nice. It's debatable whether you are better of with an 'American' made or a new cheaper version. I was just looking in the window at forsyths in town and they have a fender player strat for 499. You could get that new with a case and maybe get the pickups upgraded.

To be honest I quite like getting used guitar's nowadays - better for the environment and plenty to go round as is.

Not sure what it is but this one just seemed to hit my right between the eyes for some reason.

Still working through the inner turmoil as to whether I but it or not...........

I think if you are going to use your guitars a lot and they are going to end up showing some signs of life then might as well get used. You don't feel so bad when it gets that first scratch. A new one is lovely but its only lovely for so long.

Yeh if I got a brand spanking new one now I'd try to be really careful and end up twatting it on something.

Whereas as used, I won't give a shite and probably never end up with a scratch............ :-)

For me, I don’t like the idea of a humbucker on a strat. Why put one on? Won’t sound like a strat then, imo. I’m not keen on the bridge….

I've got a Korean Squire Strat with a humbucker on the bridge pickup (Floyd Rose trem).

I can still get Strat tones out of it, just not the full range of tones.

I did think like that but strats have been made with all sorts of setups for decades. I have a HSS strat. It's great. In an ideal world I'd have high end fender and Gibson guitars with classic pick up configuration. But kids aren't that fussed any more and I've come round to that approach.

So i went and got the Harley Benton Guitarbass...their version of the Bass VI. If you arent sure what it is, listen to the "bass" on the Beatles "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"...they were also used a lot on the old Spaghetti Western songs

It arrived yesterday and i must say im very impressed with it...the action and intonation are perfect...slight tuning issue with the low E...but i think its just the new strings, they need stretch/worn in.

Its one octave lower than a guitar and one octave higher than a bass....a 30" scale length. I was playing along with stuff last night and it can sound like a normal bass when "clean" and playing single notes low down the fret board....but is amazing when you add drive, and play higher up the fret board...its really versatile.

Cheap as chips too....Harley Benton guitars are phenomenal
