Lowest away following.

Was that Richard Edgehill’s debut? Remember watching us lose there 1-0 around that time (on tv) commentator waxing lyrical about him, think it might of been Ian Darke, probably the last reasonable comment he made about us
So somebody mentioned above, but I can't remember, pretty sure we didn't lose though, it was a very drab draw, with a very small crowd, and very few blues, spent most of the game sat on the terrace, as there was very little to get excited about.

Went to Wolves centenary match i think 1978
MCFC sprayed on all the turnstile doors.
We thought there must be a good following.
We went in a paddock down one side hoping for a quick get away...
two supporters in the away section!!
They painted the doors, and they invaded the pitch at half time. They got a standing ovation!!

Seem to remember it was an awful match ending 0-0, and I got home to Timperley about half 3 in the morning. In work by 9 somehow, I was a lot younger then of course.

Went to a midweek game probably early 90's v Wimbledon, late October I think (maybe early November), at Selhurst Park, there were only a couple of hundred there, I think it finished 0-0, or 1-1.

It was utterly miserable, I think it was my daughters first away game, I doubt she'll remember it fondly either, she was 4 or 5, it was bloody freezing, did I mention miserable ?
I heard that game was miserable, can you confirm ?

:)

The season we went down in 1983, would have been March or April, we got leathered 4-0 at The Dell, with a decent following, but the following week we played Swansea away. Less than 200 there in the away end and another 4-0 tonking. It was the day our loyalty was tested and the resulting ''It's not funny anymore'' chant rang out.
Was at both those games, the Swansea game was the first time I remember hearing "We never win at home..." sung, after the match. I think it may have been Joe Corrigan's last appearance for City?

I can remember a mid week trip to Ipswich in '76, towards the end of the season, just one Finglands coach and a few Southern-based Blues. Also the following season at QPR, midweek again, only about 200 or so on the open terrace and we were 2nd or 3rd in the table. Some Chelsea fans tried to charge us on the terrace IIRC (already mentioned by @mancityvstoke )

Think this might have been September’93. It was a Monday night game and we lost 1-0. About 8,000 there and yes not much more than a few hundred City.

shakthar Donestk in Khariv. the club said there was 111 of us but there definitely wasnt, more like 70-80 and the majority were overseas blues
It's very impressive that you were there. I remember going to a game at Torquay in the early eighties. City drew 0-0 , I remember thinking what the fuck am I doing here on a Tuesday night.

It might be the two large glasses of wine I have just drunk but for some reason that made me laugh. We all must have shared those sentiments at some point in our City supporting life, those of us of a certain vintage anyway.

There was a midweek game v Wimbledon at Selhurst in September 92. We won 1-0 (White) and the crowd was 4,714.
I think that was the first time I met @Vic and his lad.

That would have been ‘83. I set out for school at normal time. Dumped my uniform in the bushes and headed off to the game. Safe to say my parents weren’t overly impressed when I didn’t get home from school until about 3 am.

Right, here’s one that has to be the winner!

Two of us (yes, just two: yours truly and Andy Shaw, originally from Wythenshawe) travelled all the way to Warsaw for Kaz Deyna’s testimonial. September 1979. There were no other blues there.

I’ve promised Doctor Gary James a full account of an epic trip.

City lost 2-1, with Deyna playing one half for each team.

Brilliant
