I remember the old bill with loud speaker saying “ if you’ve had coaches wrecked stay here and DF shouting into London lads into London madness absolute Fred CarnoesWe all ran at them at London Bridge. I just ran because everyone else did. Never saw a Millwall supporter after the match. The main family coordinated our day.
Was fuckin freezing mate but the Kiev fans still had their shirts off(Hardy lot those Ukrainians).Kiev 2010, the night of Mario's allergy to grass, I read there were only around 150 of us at the game....and it was fooking freezing.
There then and here tonight@Chappie was there
I went to West Ham in 87 and they detained 150 City. It was in the paper. I wrestled off a copper and jumped in a cab at Moorgate. Got in at 3.30. Ended up a friend day due to police dogs getting most in a coral. Football has changed so much but it's progress for sure.I remember the old bill with loud speaker saying “ if you’ve had coaches wrecked stay here and DF shouting into London lads into London madness absolute Fred Carnoes
Funnilly enough the only other time I went to Millwall was when I was living down there in 98, night game at the New Den. Was kept behind for what seemed an eternity while they was having a battle with the coppers.True! Remember being kept in a while. Trouble at London Bridge station too on way back. I lived in London at the time just down the road so it was an easy away for me. I went to watch Millwall quite a few times when I lived there and City weren’t playing and Palace.
I was at the relegation game as my other post.Mid 80s,midweek away at Upton Park, meaningless end of season game for us.
Living in London at the time so I went along, think we lost 1:0. A very forgetable game and very 'spacious' away section ..very different to when we got relegated there on the last day (the following season I believe)
