That is a shocking breakdown in a working relationship between a senior Cabinet Minister and the people in his own Department.

Yes Minister always fucked me off as it gives an utterly false impression of over 90% of civil servants. We don't have smart cracks and run rings round our ministers, surprisingly.

The majority of people who interact with any sort of ministers, junior or Cabinet level, are very senior managers, probably on decent pensions and probably degree educated.

The majority of the civil service are much lower clerical grades earning substantially less than the living wage and having to claim tax credits to top up their pay packets. Doesn't really sound too much like the Sir Humphreys of this world.

So it's not as bad as 50 years ago. How is that relevant. And why is Corbyn relevant?

So we are back to the 70's? IMF will be knocking on the door soon as a sort of back street money lender to bail out an economy effectively nuked by the Tories - 12 years to take us back 50 and still try and claim to be the Party of Fiscal Responsibility is only more laughable than the fact that there are wankers who believe them !
