Seems a nice enough lad but looks like he’s are Darren anderton
His time with England at the WC was a glorified training session, by Pep's comment last night, is he injured or is it a case of not looking after himself, I would take the latter. There's always need for a time after his surgery, the decision to take him to World Cup squad is not wise. The blame solely on England management, just like decision to take Kyle Walker and John Stones when both are recently been injured before World Cup.

You need to listen and see Pep when he talks about him, not happy, plain to see.Hopefully his absence last night was part of a plan to ease him back into the squad.
I’ve always got the impression he’s a good pro and if so these injuries must be frustrating and he deserves our sympathy.
However if he wasn’t available because he’s not been taking his fitness seriously that is poor. If so may I suggest that City take him to Leeds for our next game. Leave him there and demand our money back as the purchase item is not working properly.
Didn’t see the interview but no reason to doubt you. Oh dear. Hopefully Leeds have not cashed the cheque yet.You need to listen and see Pep when he talks about him, not happy, plain to see.
TBF Walker and Stones were good contributes in the WC. The decisions to take them were correctly made. Can't say the same about Phillips. There's always need for a time after his surgery, the decision to take him to World Cup squad is not wise. I’m a little shocked that Phillips has come back not even fit enough to make the matchday squad. I didn’t think he was the kind of character to allow that to happen, even more so after the start he’s had here, you’d think he’d be motivated to show what he’s about. And we’re not talking about him being injured, Pep was pretty clear about that - he’s not injured, he’s returned in poor condition. It’s surprising. So surprising in my opinion, that I wonder if something else has gone on entirely. I’ve no idea what, but honestly does anyone actually think he’s the kind of guy to return out of shape when he’s been warm weather training for 4-5 weeks? I just don’t understand how that can happen.
Lavia was sold on our terms. The lad was ready for prem football and we couldn't give it him, we did a deal with Southampton that is massively in our favor.
Im guessing they will have, seeing as the one they got from Barcelona for Raphinha would have bounced higher than a Malcolm Marshall shortball on a dodgy pitch..Didn’t see the interview but no reason to doubt you. Oh dear. Hopefully Leeds have not cashed the cheque yet.
We play twice a week now til the end of the season. I think we may even have a couple of 3 games a week depending on how far we go in the FA cup. I’d be tempted to pay the £40m clause we have on Lavia or sign an experienced back up. I don’t think we can afford to rely on most Rodri. We are one injury away from a crisis.Hope things change, but he's starting to look like a colossal waste of money. We need Rodders to stay intact this season.
Why. Who would buy him?Danny Mills II ?
Hopefully not yet, but I can just imagine the bollocking he would get if Vinny/Fern were still Club Captain. He's got till June to shape up , otherwise out the door ; I expect Pep will have made that fairly clear to him.
