PL mins:
Foden 930 mins - 7 goals and 3 assists
Mahrez 548 mins - 1 goal 1 assist
Grealish 710 mins - 1 goal and 2 assists
Our wingers are just not doing enough. Mahrez and Grealish have a combined 1300 mins with 5 goal contributions?!?
Far cry from Sane/Sterling days
Saw this on Twitter - regardless of Haalands goals this is simply not good enough.
Off load Foden, why on earth would we do that?Pep's insistence on starting Mahrez and Grealish is odd but it seems he'd rather lose the league with them than win it with Foden/Alvarez. Maybe the January window is a good time to offload Foden before his value drops too much? I can't imagine it's going to go up with him being used only slightly more than Cole Palmer.
Well, when it comes to overall league games remaining, anyway.
All of the doomsday posts about being down 7 points with 22 matches left to go—2 of which are against Arsenal—seem a bit OTT.

Don’t beat around the bush. Say what you mean fella!Shit from the team.
Shit from the manager.
Shit from the ref.
Shit from the opposition.
Shit from the crowd.
A fucking shit afternoon all round.
Haaland was the only sprinting back to try and stop Brentford scoring before the world cup.I am not sure I agree. We have the third fewest goals conceded, and among those, many were based on just poor defending, as was the case today.
Haaland isn’t at fault for players playing passes straight to opposition feet in midfield and, even then, three defenders not closing a player down, before said player curls a shot literally in to the far top corner.
I’d say Haaland has had little to nothing to do with about half of the goals we have allowed this season.
Perfectly fair opinion.Yeah that’s a good point mate, just seems we are conceding goals or chances which we normally wouldn’t,we don’t look right for me the team that destroyed forest at home seemed more balanced but that’s just my opinion..
you are a comedian22 games, 2 of which against Arsenal, are not enough?
We must be an absolutely shite team.
Think Eccles bottle of Harvey's titty lotion is at an end ;-)I warn you now, this post is going to be controversial. I’m not daft, just a bit Pollyannaish!! I just love City I know they can play like the best team etc or have a nightmare but they are my team so….
The Boys in Blue didn’t give in. They fought to the end. Thank you City, thank you lads, thank you fans. You didn’t exactly show ‘em but you tried. We’ll be back. We’ll show ‘em then, we’ll show ‘em all. Toffees, Media, Referees!!
That guy that sat on John Boy at the beginning goes in my bad books!!!
100% agree.I love Pep, he is the best manager but he does have one teeny, tiny flaw. His substitutions. 95% of the time they come too late.
However we didn’t lose so we are not going into 2023 carrying a loss. :-)
He is part of that, but so are the others, stones only held down regular starting place in an Everton squad who at the time weren't great, Ake is a regular starter for the Dutch national team, and the goal today was.not has fault, and you could equally say at the other end the forwards are not doing there job then, as last 2 home games 1 team has scored more than us and 1 the same as usHe’s so good that in a decade of playing in the Prem, he has only held down a regular place at relegation fodder. He should be a bit-part player here. He isn’t and the goals we are conceding and the subsequent results are showing exactly that. Not all his fault but collectively the quality of our defence has gone from best in the Prem to bang average. He is part of that.
Hangs head in shame. Awww please don’t let them ban me tonight. I want to wish people a Happy thingymabob later. :-)You deserve fucking banning...
I think I heard that a few games agoMight be the kick up the arse we needed that though. A winner would have just let us off with another poor display.
Now we really have to look at ourselves after two home games in a row without a win and put a lot more application in.
That would be fine if Ake and Akanji were 4th and 5th choice CBs who only played when there were injuries to the other 3. That isn’t what has happened though. We have 5 CBs who are apparently all 1st choice and are being rotated as such. No other top team in history has done this. Pep is revolutionary but this idea needs throwing in the bin.It is when 2 are ways out injured at any one time.
