just play the team that tore the rags a new arsehole for all the jan games
You should read more lolWow, seriously? If that's what you think you don't deserve City.
FFS man, I know it wasn't the result we wanted but that's quite possibly the most absurd comment I've ever read on this forum.
Yes it was terribly dull at times today, endless possession in our own third of the pitch. When we venture over the half way line it ends back back in the same place the ball came from. After the Everton goal today I and the folks I sit with were saying we wouldn't have scored that because the player wouldn't have shot but passed to someone. We must be one of the few teams who can get a corner and the ball ends up back with our own goalie.Well they are right in a sense. The xG was something like 2.0 - 0.06. So we did control the game, nothing he said will have been incorrect. I just wish we were more entertaining. Our football is mind-numbingly boring. Pep has gone from being synonymous with beautiful, attractive football to producing kind of stale, slow, overly-cautious football with little to no risk ever being taken. It’s boring.
I agree with this. I'm generally pretty pragmatic, and history has shown Pep closes out seasons very well so I just can't bring myself to fret about this. But at the same time, this is one of those you come away from and think "should've won that"It is neither the time to fall to pieces nor to expect history to repeat itself when it went in our favour. I can't be arsed looking but it would be interesting to know the furthest we have been behind points wise with equal games remaining.
Somewhat concerned is the sane view but you will always get the fretters and the clappers in any fan base.
You were doing well there until the final sentence.I bow to no-one in my appreciation of Stones, Akanji and Ake as centre halves. What they are not, however, is playmakers. And yet, it seems that every move ends up back with one or the other and they are then expected to either thread a Silva-esque through-ball to the forwards or make a Yaya-esque rampaging run to unsettle the defence neither of which they are capable of.
It just isn't working and I hope Pep tries something else soon.
That was dog shite. Incredible pedestrian poor performance. we have the arrogance that we think we deserve to beat every team by just walking onto the pitch. Wake up you wankers! And why is it every time we play crap people seem to blame it on the ref? It’s not the ref’s fault we are mediocre. The blame lies solely at the feet of the manager and the players. It‘s about time that both give their fucking heads a wobble and wake up and start putting a decent shift in.
Yes, one of the reasons I'm not in here so much these days, especially the post-match thread. Its embarrassing sometimes, too often in fact. Even clubs much lower down than us don't get the amount of crap levelled at them that the so-called fans in here come up with when a result doesn't go our way.Not even half way through we will come again and it will be with a vengeance as usual ,I’ve heard some shit tonight off supposedly fans fucking grow up we’re CITY
We’re PEP’S CITY
Did Radio Rentals use to offer that?rent buys
Hes right , when we turn it on theres no better sight, but this season its not been amazing to watch for large chunks of gamesYou were doing well there until the final sentence.
Isn’t this what squad rotation is for? We could easily have played Foden, Cancelo and Walker today without any detriment to the shape. Could have added Palmer too along with Bernado who was the only change. 5 lots of fresh legs.Bad day. Bad team. Bad ref. Bad(dodgy) fixture organisation by the league. 2 days rest v 4 days rest is too much
I ain'tShould I not bother watching MOTD then? :-)
The difference between prime Fern in his pomp and Rodri is night and day and it's painful to think about, to be honest. We truly were spoilt with Fern.I like Rodri a lot but I tend to agree. Fernandinho almost had an innate sense of where to be positionally that I've never really seen from Rodri.
