He is being sarcastic on comment to put fans lineup, don't treat his comment seriously.
no it is not. his constant tinkering and lack of stable formation is holing us back from going on a winning run.He is a genius, subs won us the game tonight. So many players out of form and his tinkering is the reason we are even close to Arsenal.
If bluemoon were manager we would be alongside Liverpool.
we are almost always playing the wrong setup thanks to pep. that is what is wrong with us. in games like against chelsea with space on the wide areas grealish and marhrez work well as they are not double teamed and inverted fullbacks give us contol in the middle. but against teams like everton who sit back this same formation will not work. in those games we need overlaps of fullback helping out our wingers in those games. seems like pep cannot understand this simple logical fact. That first half was crazy.
Half the side didn't know what they were supposed to be doing. It ended up being 45 minutes wasted.
He made good early positive changes and went back to what he feels comfortable with.We won,not convincingly, but we won,and his Subs were involved.
Not sure what is wrong with us at the moment. We just dont look right, or feel right.Despite the win.
We look unfit at the moment. No idea why this is.Half the side were dead on their feet at the end.KDB has looked unfit for a good while despite his Worldy Goals.Gundogan looks old.
agreed.
he said this after saying we do not anymore have sane and sterling to run behind the defense. maybe a shot a Txiki ?Hmmm interesting comments..
He said before the game that this was the fans team and then set us up in a very strange way. I don't think many City fans could understand what was going on in that first half the players looked flummoxed. Whatever is going on in the changing room he needs to sort it out because in the last 5 league matches the performances have been poor.i hope you are not being serious. If you think pep or any top manager picks his team or formation according to the fans i dont know what to tell you
We lack the pace for counter as well. Shot at txiki? I don't think so. Why would pep want grealish for 100million and play him as a winger if he wants someone with sane and sterling's profile. I doubt club made a 100M purchase without consulting pep!he said this after saying we do not anymore have sane and sterling to run behind the defense. maybe a shot a Txiki ?
agreed.
No offence, but I think Pep has forgotten more about football than you will ever learn or pretend to know.we are almost always playing the wrong setup thanks to pep. that is what is wrong with us. in games like against chelsea with space on the wide areas grealish and marhrez work well as they are not double teamed and inverted fullbacks give us contol in the middle. but against teams like everton who sit back this same formation will not work. in those games we need overlaps of fullback helping out our wingers in those games. seems like pep cannot understand this simple logical fact.
Grealish has plenty of pace, he's just not allowed to use it with the way Pep wants him to play. Pep has moved to wanting his wingers to focus on control above all else.We lack the pace for counter as well. Shot at txiki? I don't think so. Why would pep want grealish for 100million and play him as a winger if he wants someone with sane and sterling's profile. I doubt club made a 100M purchase without consulting pep!
ya right pep is the only one who can understand football. No offence, but I think Pep has forgotten more about football than you will ever learn or pretend to know.
agreed.
Of course it's typical Pep sarcasm. Can't believe anyone thinks otherwise.Haha I stand corrected. Provided it's not typical Pep sarcasm, of course.
The quote from Pep tells me of a bit of irritation at the whining from fans for the "good old days" of Sane blowing down the wing. Pretty clear Pep thinks people are remembering that through rose-tinted glasses. If he wanted that approach again, he'd be instructing the team to play that way. Grealish and Foden both have plenty of pace if instructed to play differently, but they're clearly both being instructed to focus on ball retention and control. Unfortunately lack of an overlapping LB (which the club failed to buy last summer) therefore makes their job very difficult.
