I do that. It's what's all about. I get it.
I don’t run the same mile 200 times through a dark tunnel. I don't get it.
Fantastic mate, well doneBack in May on my birthday I weighed 17 Stone 7 pounds and decided I needed to do something as I turn 40 on my next birthday (May this year). Set myself a target of losing 40 pounds before my 40th.
Started out on the exercise bike at home and doing a lot of walking, once it started getting colder and darker in October decided i needed the gym to help keep losing the weight. So started out by running for a minute, walking for a minute on the treadmill, along the lines of couch to 5k but without using the app and slowly building it up (along with still doing the bike and other bits in the gym)
Anyway, this past Saturday i manged my first 5km run without stopping ever in about 32min (I did 5.2km in 34 mins but that includes the warm down as well) and I'm down to 14 Stone 1 pounds (So 48 pounds and still just under 4 months to go)
Never ever thought I'd either be able to run for that long or that I would actually enjoy it (well maybe not the last 1km or so!), its changed my life and I feel so much better and once the weather gets a bit better I might even venture running outside, ha!

Best time to run imo, get wrapped up and out in it. Brilliant.Cracking effort that.
I find gym running massively boring, and I rather be out and about. When I trained for The Spires and Steeples marathon (Lincoln to Sleaford) I was running outside all through winter and I did a few long runs in the sleet and snow.
That is fantastic to read - and truly inspiring!Back in May on my birthday I weighed 17 Stone 7 pounds and decided I needed to do something as I turn 40 on my next birthday (May this year). Set myself a target of losing 40 pounds before my 40th.

In a few weeks get outside in the spring sunshine. Find a scenic trail run in the country side or the park. Hills might be a bit of a challenge but all in good time you might even enjoy it !Back in May on my birthday I weighed 17 Stone 7 pounds and decided I needed to do something as I turn 40 on my next birthday (May this year).
