Whoever gave Zinchenko shit from the stands last night needs a slap he was not happy at all.

I agree if it was before his first yellow card foul, but he deserved some stick after the second heavy challenge.

I thought we defended better than any other game this season, especially in the second half, and Ortega was superb. Lots of positives.

I will put my tin hat on but I would seriously think about giving Ortega more games, He seems to me to be a much better shot stopper than Eddie & he is fairly good with his distrubution, not as good as Eddie yet but could possibly get better with more games.

Quite honestly, last night I thought 'finally a challenger for No 1'!

The only thing I will say as different, is Ederson sees a pass much quicker and will make that instant pass.

I thought some of his distribution was really good. Unfortunately we play way too slowly nowadays so couldn’t make anything of the passes but they were good.

I loved watching us grind out a 1-0 result. We don’t do it enough and will have to do it to win the CL. Too many teams have sussed out our high line.

I agree on the shot stopping part but I think his distribution caused us some issues last night....but maybe like you said it would get even better with more games......

I take your point because I fucking love him, but the role he plays is more left of a back three than traditional left back. Sure, he stepped into a traditional left back role today more often, but he's not a left back. Honestly think he's in our top 3 performers this season, but he's not playing left back.

He plays left back for the national team and does a pretty good job of it.
Your argument is a bit like saying Kimmich is not really a midfield player as he started his career at right back.
Ake is an excellent left back as well as an excellent centre back.
We’re lucky to have him tbh given how he’s been treated since signing.
Has to be our first choice lb from now on.

All that it means, is we are out of the FA Cup, and you are through.

Gives City the upper hand. Arsenal will be very nervous facing City now. I was worried about the upcoming league games but after last night not so much. Confident now that Pep will guide City to a couple of wins. Arteta should have gone stronger.

De bruyne so far off it. is it his position? He looks to be playing a 10 role and just cant get in the game. His timing of pass is off too. Should have played in haaland second half but held it way too long.

Kdb is a major worry for us and I’m hoping it’s just a blip but kdb losing form is 75 percent of what’s not right atm .

I would say his distribution is probably better than Ederson’s and he’s not afraid to catch a cross.
He hits a v low trajectory on his long passes and I think that suits the big man up front.

Tbh I’ve never been a fan of him . He has done really well for us but has cost us in massive games aswell also every season there rumours of him wanting out because he is not playing enough and last season I thought pep appeased him by putting him over John stones alot of games and we struggled . Rumours don’t come out of nothing . That’s my opinion anyway .

It really isn't and most of the long passes went to no one!

Enjoyable game especially as I had two Arsenal fans who were utterly clueless behind me taking about no history etc. I managed not to bite and kick off as I was with my kids. My gut was they seemed the younger fresher team but our experience and nouse saw us across the line. Not sure what is going on with Phil but him at full pelt and form is much needed. I am guessing we will see 4 maybe even 5 significant buys in the summer as we say goodbye to a few of the old guard. Think we will do very well to get anything down at Arsenal though based on what I saw last night. Hope I am wrong. Arsenal better than I thought to be honest.
