PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I am a Derby County fan and we have been absolutely shafted by the EFL for far less than what you guys have been charged with.

I think you are almost certain to see a huge points deduction and a two to three year transfer embargo.
The difference is that you had owners that didn't have the resources to fight the system. we do. We won't lose.

The difference is though that you were guilty, we're not. Other than that, good attempt at wumming.

Very, very simple. The PL is a business and a very successful one. That success is built upon the PL being the most competitive league in the world, which in turn therefore captures the biggest world-wide audiences and revenues.

They absolute DO NOT want us winning it every year and it turning into the Bayern/Bundesliga shit show.

Hence the ludicrously favourable refereeing dished out to Liverpool every year for the past 5+. The outrageous VAR decisions which invariably go against us, but which often are glossed over when our opponents are off side.

And now this.
Which in itself is corrupt?

You throw enough shit at the wall something will stick. Either way the Premier league win, even if we get a slap on the wrist they can blow the smoke up their arse to act like they are in control of their league. I’m sure will get a fine, possible transfer embargo etc

I don't think people realise how serious this is and you've highlighted just a few of the implications of us losing.

Clubs can sue US for a multitude of things. Even the fans could sue the club as we invested thousands of pounds and emotion supporting them, all for nothing because the club broke the rules meaning it was all worthless.

Make no mistake this is the biggest challenge the club has ever faced since it's formation.
Yep, it really is a frightening prospect. If the most serious of these charges stick we will have been charged with essentially whole scale fraudulent accounting, which would bring potential criminal proceedings from a multitude of parties. Including those who have audited them & HMRC.

Then there are the parties you’ve listed from football alone. The club will be ruined it it is unable to defend themselves here it’s that serious.

never underestimate the love HH Sheikh Mansour has for the club and Manchester as a city. He and his investment groups have ploughed Billions into the City, redeveloped previously near no go zones, created jobs, academy's and more. He and Khaldoon has made it clear they will not give up and will do whatever it takes to maintain "not prove" their innocence, we have nothing to prove, we just have to put the PL and other clubs in their place.

This legal action opens a pandora's box of shit none of the PL Clubs want to see, they may think they are protected but do you really think we spent the last 4 years smoking shisha having a giggle, or was that time spent preparing for the inevitable bullshit cluster we knew the PL was about to offload.

Everything will now come out "all be in the commission has said the case will be heard in private", but that does not stop 'leaks' in the same way leaks conveniently came out against us. The appointment of every member of that independent commission will be questioned, every word of the charges will be analysed and studied, every document sent, received, missed, or hidden will be requested. The PL Committee who put this together will be investigated, the forensic specialists will be drilled microscopic level.

And all this when we now hear that LFC have not received a single official bid in 3 months, MUFC will get bids but nothing close to their target price. Consortiums, Individuals, etc will all look at what the PL have done today and think again about investing in any PL club or associating themselves to this level of blatant targeted attack.

This will take years!

All we have to brace ourselves for is the media circus bullshit, the hypocrisy and the double standards that will hound us for the rest of this season and seasons to come, I just hope the manager, players, supporting team and senior executives have the balls and energy to see this through.

Now we need to fight back and win the PL, win the Champs League and say - f3ck you all!
Spot on

Well you've said it yourself ... "what you guys have been charged with"... not "what you guys have been found guilty of"

So you think we can get a points deduction and transfer embargo for being charged? Eh?

No, but that will likely be your punishment.

Have a read on what's happened to Derby County over the last few years if you want to get an idea of what is likely to happen.

It's telling though isn't it - already guilty in the court of public opinion

"Organised and clear"

Yup and if it rumbles on for years what would it do for players looking to come here? We’ve been dealing with this crap since 2014, it’s never ending the dirty tricks they try to pull.

Criminal charges? Does not adhering to PL rules constitute a crime? Presumably we're not accused of fraud or tax evasion?
Like I said if we have been guilty of breaking the PL rules which require audited accounts to be submitted then, it infers that we have submitted falsified accounts and has such this is a criminal offence

Serious question here then. How would you feel about the situation if City are indeed found guilty of the bulk of these charges (there 100 of them, so I'm going to assume some of these will stick) and City are handed an unprecedented punishment, say a massive points deduction? Will your anger and ire be directed at your owners, or at the PL?
Both I'd say. The rules are an absolute crock but the top brass have consistently said there's nowt to worry about.

I imagine everyone will feel the same way that the direction of our anger will depend on whether we feel we've had a fair trial.

UEFA clearly tried to stitch us up as we beat them in an independent court of law. If its clear that the FA haven't tried to stitch us up then my anger will be directed at the club.
