PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This will all be forgot about very quickly and we can get back to the football once again. I'm not saying it will go away obviously, but for the next year I guess fuck all will happen to us
It’ll be hanging over our heads for a while yet.
Next will be the ‘independent panel’ finding us guilty, then we’ll have our day in court.
We’ve been ‘guilty’ in the eyes of everyone since the takeover, a few more years won’t make much difference.

Yep, I'll bet that all forms of poisonous media are making a fortune out of this story. It's been a worldie day for advertisers and influencers but we just hold our counsel via a dignified but strong statement refuting the charges. Immensely frustrating for us fans as we suspected that this wouldn't end following the CAS verdict - twas only a matter of time before our combined enemies orchestrated a new attempt to destroy us. I just hope that we're ready for it.
I'm out there fighting them all. Spartan style!

Bad day blues and sorry to say this but all this if City win all these journalists/ clubs will be sued etc. is bollocks.

It didn’t happen after CAS and won’t happen after this.

That said, win this and I think it’s done. I can’t see them coming again (but this could be wishful thinking).
It's not a bad day as a fan, it is just another day where we are being slated or accused of something.

The Prems main allegation is we have been fraudulent in our accounting, if found that we haven't it opens them up, to be sued, maybe not from us, but the accountant firms, lawyers, consultants who we use as tgeir reputations have also been tarnished and may not feel they want to let the prem off lightly.

It is the final assault on our reputation though, most is a repeat of the uefa charges, with a few extras added, afyer this they or anyone has nowt else to sling at us

Had something recently on a smaller scale with my current employer over something contractual.
HR tried to gaslight me for months despite me asking for copies of policies to back up their stance over something I was due.
I produced documents to refute their claim which they tried to claim weren't relevant.
Submitted a 100 page grievance and they backed down straightaway.
My point is you're right about people with blinkers and bad intentions digging themselves into a hole to try and save face.

My solicitor was so blasé, he expected a quick pay day & thought they’ll roll over & make a shit offer, we’ll negotiate & move on. I said to him after I told you their arrogance will keep fighting this. He said at our 3rd hearing he could feel their solicitor was telling them you need to negotiate but are still refusing & dragging it out.

How are we going to quash or overturn over 100 charges though, no matter how good the lawyers are?
I’m genuinely interested in how this can happen
I’d assume some of them are going to be there in black and white
Stefan covered this in the Twitter Spaces. The 100+ charges is a bit misleading - the overwhelming allegation is that we’ve submitted fraudulent accounts for 9 years. If the PL can’t prove this, the other charges largely go away. If they somehow can prove it, then we’d be fucked. My overall takeaway after listening to the whole thing is that I’m more optimistic but the stakes are obviously extremely high.

Again, show us the evidence that City referred to that exact email if it exists?

Page 38 of the CAS verdict.

The matter of the authenticity of the emails was resolved because Manchester City provided originals and the panel compared the originals to the leaks and found them to be parts of emails which had names, addresses dates, CC's removed. They specifically say they compared all leaked emails from der Speigel and the only discrepancy was email 4 which was actually 2 together, but that didn't change the meaning of them.

"MCFC explicitly acknowledged the emails produced on 18 May 2020 were authentic"

"Mr Widdowson and Mr Pearce acknowledged the veracity of the leaked emails in their testimony. Mr Widdowsdon explicitly did so. Mr Pearce did not, but by referring to his thought process in drafting certain sections of the emails the panel finds he implicitly acknowledged the veracity of the leaked emails."

Sorry, I cannot keep up to date on any of this but when would an appeal be heard / when can we likely receive a punishment?

Can't wait for this to be all over tbh, been hanging over us for so long now..

Still a disgrace how this was all put in place just to stop City at the time when nothing was done about Chelsea in the years before us when Abramovic first took over. Been a witch hunt ever since they realised our owners were serious we was going to dominant for over a decade

Haha….I love a good grievance procedure, I once typed out 25 different grievances with a company I worked for when they tried forcing unreasonable contractual changes on me, long story short they paid up & off I popped, but I left those grievances with a colleague just in case he needed them
Great isn't it.
A colleague is having a similar spat with the same HR person so I'm helping them with a grievance.
Reminds me of the last debacle orchestrated by the red arse cheeks with their hangers on and shills.
The same fuckwits are digging themselves into a hole, some people just never learn!

I hope to God City haven't been sitting on their hands these past few years. I really hope they have being planting spies within the cartel clubs and getting some damming evidence. Time to go on the front foot. Call out referees from the 90s and 00s.Even if its diversionary, get their bank accounts scrutinised. If we slander them, fuck it, the fine will be worth it to muddy the waters

I'm a lot more optimistic than this morning. I just find it very unlikely that 9 years of audits didn't bring up anything and HMRC didn't mention anything either.

Classic tactics of dragging out process or ignoring you in the hope theyll grind you down and you would go away.

1) It doesn't predate his involvement with Manchester City. I don't know why I keep seeing this phrase regurgitated. He signed both contracts on the same day.

2) Because a Manchester City executive wrote an email stating "We have some payments that require to be made by Al Jazira. We will need to send monies to ADUG and ADUG will then pass on to Al Jazira with payment instruction."

That's a Manchester City employee writing that, not an Al-Jazira one.

Very difficult to argue these are 2 unrelated jobs when people from City's holding company are discussing how they'll send money to the second company to pay Mancini.
How have they obtained said e-mail? I doubt City provided it. Can you provide the full email and what is the full context?
Who was the exec who wrote the e-mail.

I think it might be easier than you suggest to argue the clubs case.

Sky sports had a couple of gobshite know fuck all types, scaremongering. They said some were about Mancini, some 28 of the charges were about the Club not giving information or holding onto information. if true, UEFA would have charged us. This is just a bollocks campaign hoping to get some momentum once again.

RELAX

Uefa did charge us for that and we were found guilty, to be fair.
