PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Spoke to someone I know at the club this morning, and it's certainly allayed my fears a bit. Can't go into too much detail, but the club knew this was coming, even if the timing caught them out a bit, and are confident that we'll be cleared of the most serious charges.
Good post thanks mate

They all have us guilty don’t they? Bloke on the 5 Live phone in now has at last called out racism!!! Hurrah!
If these accusations are proved, then ok throw the book, that's fair. But we should shout more about the Cartel and Why this has to be done..Arsenal from 30's paid for Herbert Chapman etc, changed them through money, Edwards..nig money, Littlewoods gambling bank rolling dippers. We need to make it clear that its protectionism. System needs changing, agreed but we cant have it based on revenue as historically it has created a cartel that can't be broken. The prem know this. Why aren'tvwe screaming about it...Ian St John record Brit trf fee, while they were in Div 2 ffs

That's good to know... but I want us cleared of ALL charges, and I want grovelling apologies from everyone... the PL, the media etc.

I may be in a minority but I also thought City's response was poor. The sarcastic tone was stupid given the situation and will not do us any favours in the long-term. We now have to present our case to an independent panel and the tone we adopt will influence the outcome. A flippant tone is a very bad idea. I would have liked a strong statement which just made it clear that we rejected the allegations and had very strong evidence to disprove them.

You didn't like the statement? Or the anonymous briefing?

Did they not do that? They refuted it and stated they welcome an independent review that’ll show all the evidence to clear us. What more do they need to say? It’s simple and to the point, nothing more needs to be said.
We didn't need to express surprise or make a point about impartiality. It was a not very subtle dig and won't go unnoticed by the potential leader of the panel itself. Words always matter in these legal conflicts.

Nobody will care

So really the pl are saying that the club, other shareholders, auditors, solicitors, sponsors are all involved, and are risking their reputation, their livelihoods by doing so.I really don’t think so,just hope the club prove their innocence and drag the whole lot down
Reminds me of the ‘fake moon landing‘ brigade.
just how many people do they think can be involved in such a huge deception and the subsequent cover-up without someone spilling a bean or two somewhere.

just turned on Talksport, had Stephen Taylor Heath who's FSE Partner, at JMW Solicitors Manchester. Jim Shite fishing for explosive content, but Taylor-Heath seemed to have a balanced response.

I'm sure Talksport will be clipping extracts from the interview to paint us in a poor picture.

I guess after CAS the club realise that the non-compliance charges are going to be the PLs sure-fire wins and are not arsed about them?

So just the gras cutting allegation will stick then, won't stop the media. "Liverpool would have won the league if City's grass was cut 3mm shorter like everyone else".

I’m listening to it now. Sounds like he’s downplaying it to me, and points to fines as the punishment, much to Jordan’s dismay.
Edit: punishment if found guilty.

Can't bear to listen to any sports media right now. Just curious, does Simon Jordan think we are likely to get expelled or something to that effect?
