North Stand Construction Discussion

Does anyone else think the new fanzone has a retractable roof? Seems to look that way in the CGI (although hard to tell exactly). Keep the weather out for most of the season, but for the hotter days let airflow through and make it a more pleasant environment. Might be completely wrong on that one though.

it's so our owners can throw people off the top.

would be good if City have an agreement with the coop that we can use their leds wrapped round the arena especially on night matches, would look brilliant.

One of my best mates works for the company installing those. Not as large as shown on the initial CGI's he said, but you'd imagine they look to create some harmony with the arena through the use of that sort of technology.

Imagine rocking up for a big night game with those all lit up showing Pep with his cigar. That would get the place bouncing.

All weather is the description
The Ashburton lot are an embarrassment, we don't need an answer to them. Although I would argue we need an answer to Arsenal’s atmosphere as a whole this season, as they've been very loud recently

Sky bar viewing maybe?

Definitely looks like there’s some kind of sky bar above L2.

Again, great that the club have put the bread and dripping fans first when designing the stand.

They really have understood this is the last chance to create a proper home end.

Let’s hope that extends to allowing the fans to hand flags and banners at the front of the 2nd tier, rather than replacing the current led screen with newer ones when the stand is completed?

The devil will be in the detail but it really looks like they're listening this time. Make a fortune from a sky bar, hotel, museum/stadium tours and all the leisure space in exchange for a home end packed with singing fans that help generate atmosphere and make it intimidating for the opposition.
