But I don't really see him squirming. I see someone a bit confused as to why a professional journalist is laughing at something that appears the entirely appropriate and normal way to communicate something like this.

Not really. It's part of a wider pattern of behaviour from starmer. He's is probably only matched by Dominic Cummings and Boris in terms of his dishonesty and vacuousness in public office over the last 3-5 years.
The way he's gone about this latest thing with Corbyn is just another small example of his shallow quest for power. He needs to worry more about getting some seats off the SNP than Islington, because at present he needs a bigger swing than 1997 to form a parliamentary majority and some of the 'red wall' that fell for brexit will probably also vote Tory again on the immigration issue.

until 3 days ago weeks of this thread never devoted much time to corbyn (unless brought up by starmer fans to deflect) it was all criticism of starmer for various other stuff, like being a consistant liar, changing his opinions at the drop of the hat and cameron-esque policies that are clearly tory at heart.

Him again focusing on corbyn has brought him back into the conversation, but there is plenty other shit to throw kiers way.
